A few hours later, as the Strawhats were fishing, Kairo would finally wake up from his nap. Letting himself fall from where he was, he would flip before he hit the deck and land gracefully, making no noise. His 15-foot self, weighing like 250—more like 300—pounds of pure muscle, made no sound as if he was light as a feather.
He would yawn. He had a decent-ass dream. Zoro was on the deck swinging his sword around, swinging that bitch like his life depended on it.
Kairo would watch as Luffy and Ussop were fishing. Kairo didn't bother with them. Tossing his shirt aside, he would jump in the water.
He had a seal on the boat so he would know where they were at all times. As he swam under the water, holding his breath—something he could do for like 30 minutes, give or take—he wondered what kind of fish were there. As he swam around, he could feel it, like he could hear the voice of everything.
{What is that idiot doing down here?}
Kairo heard a random voice. Was there someone else in the water he couldn't see?
{I have no idea, maybe he's lost.}
{That damn human knows he needs to breathe, right?}
{Dumbass, he has wings. He's probably one of those Devil Fruit users who fell in the ocean.}
Kairo's brow furrowed. That was a lot of voices he was hearing around him.
Turning around, he saw two fish looking at him. They looked at him, he stared back at them.
{Does this dumbass think we can save him?}
{Drown already, I'm getting hungry.}
Okay, there was no denying it—he could hear the fish speak. Was this what the Voice of All Things did at such an advanced level? He wondered how much more he could see if he truly mastered the Voice of All Things ability. It would be so cool.
But they did say they wanted to eat him.
{A free human. Let me eat him.}
Turning around, Kairo would see a giant fish. A Kraken, it seemed...
POV change.
As Kairo got out of the water and entered the boat, he had a massive fish in his grasp, more like two big fish and one Kraken.
"Meat! Awesome!" Luffy had meat for eyes. Cool.
"If you wanted to know, there are a bunch of ruined ships below," he would say, reaching out for his shirt. Someone would hand him a towel, which he used to clean his face.
"Why the hell didn't you take some of the treasure down there?" Nami seemed salty—she wanted the gold there, and now it was gone for good.
"I didn't think it was an objective," he would say, finishing wiping himself with the towel.
"Thanks for the tow—" he paused as he saw who gave him the towel.
"You're welcome," Robin would say in her usual tone of voice. Kairo froze. This was Nico Robin. This was actually Robin.
Kairo froze. Shit. He didn't have his wings hidden this time around, and it was quite clear what he was.
"A Lunarian... never believed I would see one of them before," she would say. There wasn't any real hate there, just genuine curiosity. She had never seen one of his kind before, so of course, she was a bit curious.
Kairo would simply put on his shirt and go chill where he usually chilled, on top of the ship where he rested. He wasn't about to humor her in some talk, and also, his heart was beating way too damn fast. He wanted to calm it down. He barely knew this woman, and he had to control himself so damn badly.
He was a strong ninja, and he wouldn't be swayed by anything. Like, come on, it wasn't like the strongest people who ever lived in this world were the biggest simps ever. He even doubted someone so pretty could exist to wimp so many strong people.
So he refused that fate, with all of his might. Robin, meanwhile, was pondering. If only the Strawhats knew that at this moment, due to the simple fact they bore this Lunarian and now her, if the World Government were ever to find out about that fact, they would be hunted more than Gol D. Roger's son.
Yes, it would be that damn bad. Though since Kairo was called a ninja, she furrowed her brow. Roughly 4 to 6 years ago, there was a Buster Call somewhere on the Grand Line. Some sort of society of Lunarians was found, and the Navy wasn't having it.
She wondered if he was perhaps one of the survivors there. She would ask him questions later. For now, she would read some more books. It was a fun pastime, and really, who didn't like to read plenty of books?
"Robin-swan, I made you tea so you could read!" Of course, Sanji was there in all his glory.
"Thank you," she said with a soft smile, and Sanji melted. He had hearts for eyes—he had utterly fallen for her. Just like Nami.
A/N chapter 8 is out.
