Chapter 51 - Escaping the Navy (51)

Trying to convince her to be a pirate wasn't going to work at all. She was the princess of a nation, and while yes, the Navy would have confiscated their ship, that worry wasn't really warranted right now. She had her coronation.

She couldn't be a pirate. She had her own kingdom to protect. She was a princess, and Kairo wasn't going to stop her. It was time for the Strawhats to skedaddle away. It shouldn't be that hard for them, really.

Once they got all their stuff and were ready, Kairo placed his hand on their shoulders and...

Fwoosh

They all vanished, reappearing on the Going Merry.

As they appeared on the Merry, they blinked.

"How did we get here?" Ussop asked.

"Did you forget I can teleport?" Kairo replied.

"What??" Chopper added.

Truly, it was hard.

"Where's Bon Clay?" Kairo suddenly remembered. It had been a while. He wouldn't mind taking his Devil Fruit. Yes, he was pondering sliming out the zesty man—no hard feelings.

The Devil Fruit would help him, though Kairo did wonder something: could his synchronization get paused by a big enough blast of Haki? Could he get overwhelmed? If he were to go to an area where oppression was rampant, like the Red Line or something, would he just be unable to move or act because the oppression was way too damn high there?

Or being close to any high-ranking member of the Marines—would that be a weakness? The Warrior of Oppression, Monkey D. Garp, with his Fist Slave Impact and Oppression Fist, would probably be a strong contender for that spot.

If a slave was escaping, they would be met by the Slavery Impact. The drums of oppression shall live on.

What about that fucker Akainu... odd, his whole body was shaking when he thought of him, as if he was filled with nothing but sheer hate for that man. His whole body trembled and shook.

He blinked multiple times. He didn't know why, but he didn't like that man. Oh well. Now back on the ship, he let his transformation go, his wings now fully free and his fire returning. Back to his 15-foot-tall frame, he just wanted to lie down and rest a bit.

And now it was time for them to leave. They did go to Vivi's coronation and watched it from afar. It was nice. She would make a nice princess—truly sweet.

Time Skip.

"Chopper, I need more wood!" Usopp shouted as Chopper could be seen running around with planks in his hands, giving them to Usopp.

From behind them, roughly 20 or so Marine ships. The Marines were fast on their ass.

"Dammit, at this rate we'll drown," Sanji said. Luffy could also be seen running around the ship, stopping stuff from hitting the Merry. Kairo had a rough guess that they were about to get fucked, so he made a handseal.

"Water Style: Water Wave."

As those words left his lips, he could feel the synchronization. Oh, so this was what he had been using the whole time in order to strengthen his skills.

He could feel the waves and the water. He could feel his connection with the sea, and as he used his skill, from beneath them, the water began to roar. When the skill was released, a powerful wave of water spawned beneath the boat, pushing the Merry at full speed. They went so fast that Usopp and Chopper were pinned against the wall.

The boat began moving at more than 200 miles per hour.

The Marines following them could only watch as the Strawhat crew zoomed at speeds they couldn't match. The speed of the Merry was insane—almost like the sea itself was helping them.

"HAHAHAHA!" Luffy was laughing, the wind blowing through his hair as he let it play with him.

Kairo maintained his focus with the water, pushing the boat even more, their speed going past the 300 mph limit. They were zooming across the ocean so fast that in less than 5 minutes, the Marine fleet could no longer see the Strawhats. And as if to make it worse, a heavy mist formed in front of them, so the Marines couldn't see the Strawhats at all, meaning they had to give up their search.

Dammit, it seemed like the Strawhats got away. They hadn't expected the Merry to be so damn fast. That shit zoomed past them—they stood no fucking chance at all. Like damn, they got dusted like no other, standing no chance in the slightest.

Kairo let go of the handseal and slowly the synchronization ended. Hm. The speed gradually returned to normal. Cool.

He flapped his wings a bit and flew to the top of the ship, where the sniper or lookout was supposed to be. There, he sat down. He would rest here for a while—his wings deserved quite a lot of care, after all.

A/N Oppression Impact.

Dont know if the ai removed it, but Kairo took alot of books from Alabasta, King Cobra allow it, if it was remove probably since it was to long since ai tend to cut stuff
