Chapter 63: One Hundred Victories

"How do you propose we cooperate?"

The red-veiled woman spoke in place of the King of Slaughter.

Dugu Feng smiled mysteriously. "With the Dugu Family's influence, no matter which power dares plot against the City of Slaughter, I will ensure that Your Majesty learns of it immediately.

Naturally, if you ever wish to strike back—to deal with the two Gods of Slaughter—the Dugu Family will stand on your side."

At those words, the King of Slaughter's interest immediately stirred.

Though there existed an accord between Spirit Hall and the City of Slaughter—granting certain chosen ones access to earn the Killing God Domain—agreements could always be broken.

And the Haotian Sect was another matter entirely. They harbored one of those same gods, while the King's current body had once belonged to Tang Chen himself. Between them, enmity was absolute.

To destroy the Haotian Sect and kill that God of Slaughter would remove a great future danger.

Feigning calm, the King said, "Poison Demon King, are you saying all this merely to obtain the Killing God Domain? Why should I trust you?"

Dugu Feng chuckled. "Because our interests align. My Dugu Family seeks to ascend among the Upper Three Sects—to stand unrivaled on the continent.

The Haotian Sect and Spirit Hall are obstacles in that path. We cannot rise without breaking through them first."

Ambition gleamed in his eyes.

His plan was simple: threaten first with the Snow Swan's Kiss, then seduce with the promise of eliminating the Haotian Sect and slaying Tang Hao.

He did not believe the King of Slaughter could resist that bait.

He knew well that the King had possessed Tang Chen's body—but the King didn't know that he knew.

The King's face flickered between conflicting thoughts before hardening into resolve. Tang Chen's bloodline was indeed a hidden peril that needed to be erased.

"Very well," the King said coldly. "Once you achieve one hundred victories, I will open the Road of Hell for you.

But make no mistake—it is a path few survive. Even for someone of your strength, the odds of dying are far greater than succeeding."

"To become truly strong, one must face trials," Dugu Feng replied firmly. "No matter how dangerous it is, I will walk that road."

A slight, sinister smile tugged at the King's lips. "Fearless youth—very well. If you survive the Road of Hell, I shall name you a guest of the City, second only to me."

To the King, Dugu Feng's chances of survival were no more than thirty percent. The Killing God Domain could not be earned so easily.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," Dugu Feng said, bowing. "I will not fail."

He turned and left swiftly, heart pounding with exhilaration.

Though he had entered the City well-prepared, even he couldn't deny the pressure.

But now that he had swayed the King, he could finally breathe freely.

Still, he thought, the Snow Swan's Kiss… I'll have to find that herb no matter what. It would be a weapon beyond measure.

Inside the chamber, the veiled woman frowned slightly. "Your Majesty, was it truly wise to agree so easily?

If you open the Road of Hell, the City of Slaughter will suffer dearly. Half our citizens must die to fill the blood pool."

The King's eyes flashed. "I know."

"Then why—"

"Don't ask questions that are not yours to ask," he snapped coldly.

Within his host body, Tang Chen's spirit still lingered beneath the protection of the Asura Demon Sword.

If what Dugu Feng claimed was true—that the Haotian Sect still sought Tang Chen, and had set their eyes upon the City—then confrontation was inevitable.

The mere thought of Tang Hao's Haotian Hammer still made the King's heart quake.

He had only succeeded in taking Tang Chen's body when the man's mind had collapsed.

In a direct confrontation, he would never have stood a chance.

"Poison Demon King," the King said with a soft, venomous smile, "don't disappoint me. You killed Tang Cheng; that much is already known.

If your family and the Haotian Sect ever make peace, I'll see to it that your role in Tang Cheng's death becomes public knowledge."

In his mind, this was the perfect leash. The Dugu Family had but one Title Douluo, while the Haotian Sect had once ruled supreme over all sects.

Yes—let them fight.

The King smiled darkly to himself. Dugu Feng's cunning and venom would make him the perfect weapon against the Haotian Sect.

Meanwhile, Dugu Feng resumed his battles. With Tang Cheng dead and Xiong Ba gone, he could fight freely.

Everyone knew his goal now: a hundred victories.

Not a single soul master dared face him willingly.

Those near his record deliberately avoided the arena, terrified of being matched against him.

After all, everyone remembered the nightmare outside the Arena—the night Dugu Feng slew Tang Cheng.

They knew none could stand against him, inside or outside the ring.

Seeing this, even the veiled overseer could only shake her head helplessly. There was no point caring about tiered match restrictions anymore.

Sometimes, Dugu Feng was even matched against new arrivals to the city.

He soon realized the inner city felt emptier. Many strong fighters had fled to the outskirts to escape him entirely.

Fortunately, new arrivals kept flowing in; otherwise, his matches might have ceased altogether.

Months passed—steady, relentless.

Until finally, the moment came.

One hundred victories.

As Dugu Feng walked into the arena once more, he noticed that every seat in the stands was filled.

So much for hiding, he thought. Normally these same people fled to the outer city, choosing to pay with Blood Mary to avoid fighting.

But now, they had all come—not to challenge, but to witness.

None of them stood a chance against him—they had accepted that facing Dugu Feng meant certain death.

Yet not one of them realized: to open the Road of Hell, their lives might still be demanded for sacrifice.

He looked toward the crowd with faint pity. You've dodged battle after battle, yet in the end, fate still catches you.

"Poison Demon King! Poison Demon King!"

The chant erupted, echoing through the Hell Slaughter Arena.

Killing intent filled the air, dense and suffocating, as countless soul masters awaited the birth of a new Killing God.

On the field, nine unlucky opponents stood trembling. Four of them had already given up, blank-faced in despair.

The rest exchanged silent glances, knowing resistance was useless—but still planning one last struggle.

"Don't worry," Dugu Feng said coldly. "They'll only die a few seconds later than you."

He closed his eyes and raised both hands.

Nine streaks of violet light erupted from his fingers, curving through the air like living serpents—no matter where his enemies stood, escape was impossible.

One by one, bodies exploded into clouds of blood.

Silence fell.

One hundred victories.

Dugu Feng stood alone in the crimson-stained arena, blood mist swirling around him as an unstoppable murderous aura rose skyward.
