Chapter 58: CP0 Appears!
As the crews busied themselves, the two pirate ships gradually sailed away from White Island, heading into the distant sea.
"Boss Luo Han, what do you think? My ship's pretty big, huh?" Tuck asked proudly, arms outstretched as he walked with Luo Han on the bow deck, his face full of pride and showmanship.
"It's alright," Luo Han chuckled, not denying it. The ship really was big—at least 500 meters long. If only it didn't fly that ridiculous green pirate flag, it might be perfect.
Still, watching Cole move around in the ship's only large cabin, Luo Han figured it was decent—at least Cole had a proper place to sleep now.
But he couldn't spoil Tuck. Subordinates had to be kept in check.
Unfortunately…
"See! Even Boss Luo Han agrees it's big! Haha!" Tuck shouted excitedly.
…Yeah, that failed. Luo Han had underestimated Tuck's level of self-obsession. After all, this was a man "destined to rule the world" according to Granny—not even becoming a subordinate could humble that ego.
Luo Han hopped up and sat at the bow, motioning for Tuck to join him.
"Do you know how to use Haki?"
"Nope! But I've heard of it!" Tuck answered honestly, though a bit puzzled.
No Haki, huh. Still, with that physical build—and being from the long-arm tribe—he could be a reliable subordinate someday, especially paired with his Devil Fruit ability, Luo Han thought.
He glanced over at Cole , who was currently swarmed by crewmembers, and smiled mysteriously. "Then Cole will teach you Haki from now on."
"Sure, Boss! But… what's Haki?" Tuck tilted his head, clearly curious.
Luo Han chuckled. "Didn't you say you're destined to own the world? Haki is a power only the strong can wield. And only the strong can be destined to rule the world."
He was also saying that to psych himself up.
"Just follow Cole and learn Haki from him when I tell you to."
Clap! Tuck slammed his hands together with such energy that it startled Luo Han. An aura of self-righteous conviction surged from him—pure secondhand embarrassment.
"So it's a power meant only for men like me, destined to own the world! Okay, I'll master this Haki, Boss Luo Han!"
He was nearly trembling with anticipation.
Yup… only Granny's mysterious teachings could raise such a dedicated idiot, Luo Han thought with a wry smile.
At least now he knew how to manipulate Tuck.
Thump! Luo Han pushed himself off the bow and walked toward Cole . As he passed Tuck, he gave him a pat on the arm. "Just listen to my arrangements. You'll start training Haki with Cole soon."
"Understood, Boss!" Tuck stood up and replied.
Luo Han approached Cole and clapped his hands.
"We're heading back to our ship."
Cole blinked. "Aren't we on a ship?"
Uh… Luo Han chuckled awkwardly. "I mean Whitebeard's ship!"
"Oh! Alright," Cole said, scratching his head.
The two then flew back to Whitebeard's ship.
"Wow! Cole 's super strong too!"
"Yeah, and he can fly!"
"No wonder he's the boss's boss!"
Watching them fly off, the Green Cross pirates muttered in admiration.
Back on Whitebeard's ship, Luo Han and Cole each found a place to rest.
Luo Han lay at the stern deck, feeling the breeze on his face. Hands folded behind his head, he stared at the slowly drifting clouds as his thoughts wandered.
…
Time passed—no telling how long—when boom! boom! cannon fire jolted Luo Han awake.
"It's the Navy again!" the pirate named Jack shouted.
A burst of alarm swept through the crew.
Luo Han rushed to the bow and joined Whitebeard and the others.
"The Navy again?!" Luo Han was surprised. It felt like they'd been waiting—he and the others had only just left White Island.
Whitebeard turned back with a chuckle. "It's Garp and the others."
"Bring us in. Just fight them head-on!" Golden Lion said coldly, making no attempt to hide his disdain.
"Haha! Perfect—time to test my strength against Zephyr again," Luo Han said, relaxing a bit under the confident energy of his allies.
As the ships closed in, storm clouds rolled in and rain poured down. Waves grew turbulent, rocking the ship.
"Haha! Whitebeard, I'm back again! This time, my Fist of Love shattered several mountains!" Garp's voice rang out before their ships had even met.
Whoosh! Whitebeard didn't waste words. He leapt into the air and sent a shockwave punch toward the approaching Navy fleet, the atmosphere itself cracking under the force.
Garp's eyes lit up. He jumped and met the shockwave with a punch of his own. Boom! Whitebeard's attack was stopped and dispersed, creating massive waves.
New Navy recruits aboard the warships stood dumbfounded. So this is the world of the strong…
On the other side, Whitebeard laughed as Garp blocked his punch. "Garp! Your fist's not so impressive after all!"
"Haha! Then let's get this started, Whitebeard!" Garp smirked, then charged forward alongside Sengoku and Zephyr.
Whitebeard and Golden Lion responded in kind—one using the Tremor-Tremor Fruit, the other floating with the powers of the Float-Float Fruit.
Onboard, the remaining top fighters were Luo Han, Cole , and Sister Shao.
As the distance between ships closed, Luo Han felt something different.
"Cole , stay close. There are CP0 agents among the Navy," Luo Han warned gravely.
"Sister Shao, the ship's in your hands!" he said. The heaviness in his tone made her take it seriously.
"Leave it to me," she replied.
Here they come. Let's go, Cole ! The two exchanged a silent nod.
They shot forward toward Zephyr, who had also zeroed in on them. The battle was about to erupt.
Just as the trio were about to clash, three figures in black suits and white masks leapt from the far-right warship using Moonwalk, heading straight for Luo Han and Cole .
Luo Han and Cole paused, watching the agents close in. The three flanked Zephyr and rapidly surrounded them.
"Vincent Luo Han and Phil Cole , correct?" said the presumed leader coldly, standing to Luo Han's right.
Luo Han's pupils contracted. Their intel is terrifying…
Neither he nor Cole had ever spoken their full names aloud—not even to Rocks. They'd been deliberately cautious to avoid giving the World Government any threads to follow. And yet… here they were.
Surrounded by black-clad agents, Luo Han felt—for the first time—the true terror of the World Government, the most dominant force in this world.
His heart sank. This wasn't going to be easy. One wrong move… and they could die.
"So it is you. The World Government's orders are to capture you alive. Vice Admiral Zephyr, your cooperation is required," the CP0 agent said, his tone commanding.
Tch. Zephyr wasn't thrilled with the order—but he didn't refuse.
