Chapter 60: A Battlefield of Bloodshed
With a single thought, Luo Han mobilized all of his psychokinetic power, instantly halting the movements of the tear-mask and square-mask CP0 agents, interrupting their incoming strikes.
At the same moment, Luo Han and Cole leapt backward, putting distance between themselves and their attackers.
All of it happened in a single breath.
Huff… huff… Luo Han gasped for air—he had been close. One wrong move and he would've been hit. He wouldn't have died, but the secret of his body's strength would have been exposed.
"Brother Han! Are you alright?" Cole looked down, concern in his eyes. He glanced at Zephyr and the three CP0 agents, thinking: I can't let them hurt Brother Han again.
"I'm fine, Cole . I can still fight."
Luo Han had a theory now. Their coordinated attacks had clearly aimed to get in close and strike his body directly—perhaps to confirm something.
So they're trying to verify the strength of my physical body? But why?
Could it be that a body enhanced by the Mind-Mind Fruit has a unique trait?
Luo Han's eyes lit up. Maybe I can use Kyoka Suigetsu to mislead them—it might have an unexpected effect.
While he pondered, Zephyr and the CP0 trio regrouped and began surrounding Luo Han and Cole again.
"Attack!" the masked agent ordered coldly. All four launched at them from different angles again—clearly still opting for close-quarters.
We can't handle all four at once. I need to disrupt their rhythm, Luo Han thought. He quickly called out, "Cole ! Speed up!"
"Got it!" Cole responded.
Alright then, let's go! In a blink, Luo Han used his psychokinesis to boost Cole 's movement speed once again, making him even faster than before.
Cole reached Zephyr first. With a powerful swing, enhanced by Luo Han's telekinetic acceleration, his punch carried tremendous force.
Clang! Zephyr was slammed down into the sea with a loud splash.
Cole spun to face the three masked agents and employed the same strategy: always striking first to disrupt their synchronized rhythm.
Clang! Clang! Clang! The battlefield rang with repeated clashes as Luo Han and Cole held their own under the relentless assault.
But not for long—Zephyr returned.
Clang! Zephyr landed a heavy punch to Cole 's left ribs. The impact was brutal—even Cole 's enormous frame couldn't withstand it. He was knocked back toward the sea.
Just before he fell in, Luo Han used his psychokinesis to catch him midair.
Huff… huff… Luo Han panted heavily above the waves.
These four opponents were too coordinated. Their mastery of Moonwalk, high speed, and strong Observation and Armament Haki perfectly countered Luo Han and Cole —neither of whom specialized in speed or Haki strength.
If not for Cole 's body breakthrough earlier that afternoon and Luo Han's psychic boosts, things would be even worse.
Drip. A drop of blood hit Luo Han's face. He looked up.
Blood trailed from the corner of Cole 's mouth. One side of his face was swollen, and his arms and shoulders were riddled with injuries—stab wounds, gashes, bruises, and more.
Damn it… these bastards! All of Cole 's injuries were to protect Luo Han. He couldn't let this drag on.
At this point, hiding anything no longer mattered. Luo Han's body was about the same as Cole 's—only with less defense. In close quarters, Luo Han couldn't last long.
Time to end this, Luo Han decided.
"Go, Cole !" he called.
The two launched themselves forward toward Zephyr and the CP0 agents.
Elsewhere, Golden Lion grew more and more irritated. The rain poured harder, and waves surged taller by the minute.
Clang! After another exchange of blows, Whitebeard was knocked back near Golden Lion.
"This isn't good, Whitebeard," Golden Lion growled, glancing toward Luo Han's battlefield, his face grim.
"Yeah. With three CP0 agents and Zephyr against them, those two are reaching their limit," Whitebeard said. He looked toward Garp and Sengoku, his expression darkening.
Those two bastards had been keeping him and Golden Lion pinned, preventing them from shifting the battlefield to support Luo Han and Cole .
"Haha! Sorry about those kids, but it is what it is. Accept your fate, Whitebeard," Garp said coldly, though not without a tinge of remorse.
"Accept it? Garp, you really believe that crap?!" Whitebeard roared, furious.
Boom! No more words. He threw a punch straight at Garp.
Clang! Garp countered with his own. The clash between the four titans caused massive waves to surge even higher.
Meanwhile, intense combat raged between the distant warships and the two pirate ships near Luo Han. The Marines who followed Garp into the New World were far from weak.
Thankfully, Sister Shao and the newly joined Tuck were on board—otherwise, the remaining pirates might not have been able to hold the line.
Wham! Sister Shao dodged a CP0 attack and counter-kicked a Marine rear admiral off the deck.
Thud! She landed on a Marine warship and glanced worriedly in Luo Han's direction.
Originally, she had intended to rush in and assist Luo Han and Cole once the CP0 agents appeared. But she had been intercepted by the CP0 agent in front of her, who was slightly weaker than Luo Han's attackers, but still deadly—especially when teamed with three rear admirals. She couldn't break free.
Out at sea, three key battlefronts burned with ferocity. Two were deadlocked. Only Luo Han and Cole were losing ground—and were in real danger.
…
Night fell without warning. Darkness blanketed the sea, thick and absolute.
They had been fighting for six hours. The storm had raged just as long.
Kill! Kill! On the warships, Marines and pirates were already fighting hand to hand. Waves slammed the ships around, but no one cared anymore—they were numb, killing anything in front of them.
People died constantly—falling into the sea, only to be washed back on deck by the roiling waves.
The ships were soaked with blood—whether Marine or pirate, no one could tell. The vessels drifted through the storm like ghost ships.
The fighting only grew fiercer. Whitebeard, Golden Lion, and Sister Shao were all locked in place, unable to retreat.
Drip. Drip. Blood dripped continuously onto Luo Han, then ran down his body into the sea below.
He and Cole hovered in midair, just fifteen meters above the ocean. Waves crashed and sprayed them with salt water, washing some of the blood from their battered bodies.
