Austin's POV
When Rex and Freya walk back into the dining hall after their meeting with Alpha Irina, dinner is already in full swing. They slip into seats beside us, and while Freya clearly feels overwhelmed by this new environment, having both her Alphas and her mate nearby seems to ease her nerves.
Rex's face lights up as he shares the news. "Alpha Irina agreed to let Freya stay at the Academy during the week, as long as my grades don't suffer."
Freya nods, her voice soft but determined. "She's also offering me work here so I can remain on campus and earn some income. I'll be responsible for cleaning the dining room after breakfast and lunch. It gives me purpose, and I can help Rex with Academy expenses."
Rex immediately shakes his head, pressing a gentle kiss to her temple. "The Academy fees are already covered. You keep whatever you earn."
Her brow furrows slightly. "But it's our money now, isn't it?"
