"That certainly wasn't what anyone expected," Austin remarks, his voice carrying a hint of satisfaction.
"That bastard Gerry got exactly what he deserved!" Isabella exclaims as we watch Rex escort Freya away from the courthouse steps.
"Rex will treat her right," Faith murmurs softly beside me.
"I couldn't agree more," I respond, watching the gentle way he shields her from the crowd's stares.
"Anyone interested in grabbing lunch?" Luna Dorothy suggests, breaking through the lingering tension.
Since our Academy obligations are finished for the day, we all readily accept the invitation. My uncle and cousin, however, choose to return to their territory.
"We'll be back Thursday for Sam's hearing," Uncle Andrew informs us.
"Your presence today meant everything to me," I tell them, genuinely grateful for their support.
