"Look who is back from his honeymoon?" Soren mocked me the moment I opened the door, leaning against the frame with a smirk.
Yesterday they called and asked if I was home and I told them yes. They decided they were coming over today.
"Looki hotter than usually," Jamie said, eyes scanning me up and down like he was appraising a new outfit.
"Shut up and get inside," I said, stepping aside to let them in, cheeks already warming.
"Yes sir," Jamie said with exaggerated obedience, saluting as he brushed past me.
"Anything for the tea," Soren added, winking as he followed.
They got inside and settled down on my couch, looking at me expectantly—like two cats who'd just spotted a can of tuna. Jamie crossed his legs dramatically, Soren sprawled like he owned the place. The apartment suddenly felt smaller with both of them here, their energy filling every corner.
