Ashelia pressed her lips together. The man had taken her by surprise when he ran into the room in panic earlier and with the way he appeared so suddenly, she wondered if he had been lurking by the door all along...
She remembered him being the Archduke's aide from the banquet. When he saw the condition his master was in, he had ordered her to attend to him.

But she obeyed, though it was only because she was already planning to in the first place.
She looked up at Fabian from where she sat, "He might need some time to…"
She didn't even get to finish her statement when Azrael started to stir. A moment later, his eyes fluttered open, first settling on the ceiling before he turned to meet her gaze.
He stared at Ashelia for such a long time, she started to fidget in her seat. "Why… Why are you looking at me like that?"
Azrael's brows furrowed, then he sat up sharply, his face merely an inch away from hers. "You… what are you?"
