A pleasant shiver went down Ashelia's spine at the feeling of his warm breath against the tip of her ears. She quickly backed away from him and covered her ear with one hand as a faint blush tinted her cheeks.
'My goodness! Does he not know what people call personal space?!'
She watched him as he smirked, turned around and walked down the stairs to the inn's bottom floor. She didn't understand what he meant by his earlier statement until they reached the inn's dining room.
Her eyes widened as she studied the place. She almost reeled at the strong smell of alcohol mixed with food, sweat, and smoke. The noise was so much she could hardly hear herself think.
Well, the Archduke was probably right. She definitely hadn't considered this… and why was he staying in a place like this in the first instance?!
Ashelia tried not to wrinkle her nose in irritation. "Is this… really where we're going to eat?"
