"Don't move." Ashelia heard Azrael say quietly, his voice was frigid.
Ashelia nodded in spite of herself, not like he could see her. But she could hardly process anything at the moment.
She swallowed. 'He seems angry… why?'
But it was like he had seen her, or even felt her, because immediately she gave her response, he moved with a speed that shamed all of the assassins combined.
The stray blade he picked up started to cut down what was left of their attackers. Ashelia could only see him as a blur and the sword in his hand moved brutally as it sliced, stabbed and beheaded three of them almost all at once.
Her stomach started to churn again as she watched him. When Azrael cut his blade across the last of their necks, the assassin's head fell to the floor with a sickening thump and rolled a few paces before it came to a stop just meters away from where she was.
