Chapter 7 - Power of the Rasengan

'What the? How did the Rasengan evolve into a Big Ball Rasengan that easily? I think it has something to do with the system.' Ashan pondered, his mind racing as the energy swirled in his hands.

After sensing a huge amount of unfamiliar energy, the guardian wolf coiled its body, wrapping its tail protectively around itself like a living fortress.

Looking at the wolf hiding under its own tail, Ashan smirked. He infused cursed energy into the dagger and hurled it above the guardian's tail.

"This time you won't be able to hide under your tail, foxy."

Ashan swapped places with the dagger using Boogie Woogie, teleporting above the giant tail. Without hesitation, he slammed the massive Big Ball Rasengan down. The chakra ball struck the guardian's tail directly.

Boom..

The horrifying explosion from the Rasengan hurled Ashan backward, straight toward where Nevil stood.

"Ashan..!" Nevil shouted, catching him mid-flight.

"Are you alright? What was that explosive ball you used? You almost died." Nevil's voice was laced with concern.

Ashan grinned in shock, grabbing his hair as he glanced at the spot where the white wolf had been.

'Damn, what a power. I feel like I exploded an actual bomb. That is seriosly overpowered.'

'Huh… that means it died?' Ashan blinked, still catching his breath.

The mist from the explosion obscured everything, but as it cleared, both he and Nevil stared in disbelief. Not only the tail, half of the guardian's body was obliterated. Its white mana core remained intact, embedded in the wall without a scratch.

Ashan and Nevil approached the mangled corpse cautiously.

'What I wanted was to destroy the tail. Instead, it killed the guardian. I underestimated the power of the Big Ball Rasengan.' Ashan shook his head, impressed by his own creation.

Nevil stepped closer, eyes wide. "Hey, can I learn that too? That was so cool."

"Nevil, I'm afraid you won't be able to. Because, it is a skill that I have awakened." Ashan explained gently.

"Ahh.. is that so. Then it can't be helped. If my head also gets hit like yours, will I also awaken some skills like you?" Nevil asked with a mocking smile, trying to lighten the mood.

"Maybe. Why don't you try it? Don't worry, I'll heal you before you die." Ashan chuckled, clapping Nevil on the shoulder.

Suddenly, the giant gate infront of them creaked open with a horrifying groan. A white mist billowed in, chilling the air.

"So creepy. Ashan, is that the final stage?" Nevil whispered, gripping his sword tighter.

"Yes, it seems so. I don't feel good about this. Stay behind me. I'll take the lead." Ashan positioned himself protectively, his senses on high alert.

They entered the gate cautiously, the faint light inside piercing the darkness. The space was vast, with pristine white stone walls. Before them stood a small white palace, elegant and out of place in the dungeon's depths.

"A stunning palace inside a dungeon? This is my first time witnessing something like that." Nevil murmured, captivated by the beauty.

But then he noticed the floor and froze. "It's blood. Ashan, blood is everywhere!"

Nevil hurried to Ashan's side, pointing at the crimson pools staining the ground.

'Blood! So this place really belongs to a vampire. Ah.. now I feel it. Those blood really stings. But why didn't I sense it earlier?' Ashan wrinkled his nose, the metallic tang hitting him now.

In an instant, the gate slammed shut, sealing them in.

Sil.. sil.. sil… Faint metallic sounds echoed calmly. The blood pools on the floor began to ripple and rise.

Through the palace windows, Ashan spotted a figure stepping onto the balcony. He quickly pulled Nevil behind him.

'There she is. Owner of this place and the final boss.'

A woman appeared, clad in white, half-transparent garments that revealed her alluring figure. Her gray long hair matched her outfit, and her captivating red eyes, combined with stunning beauty, could shatter any man's resolve. Prominent canine teeth peeked from her pink lips, confirming her vampiric nature.

'What a beautiful woman. She really looks like a celebrity. No, she's more captivating. I never expected her to be this gorgeous.' Ashan thought, momentarily mesmerized.

He glanced at Nevil from the corner of his eye. Nevil's face was beet red, staring unblinkingly, blood trickling from his nose.

'What's with him? At this rate, he won't be able to stand properly.' Ashan sighed inwardly.

He focused back on the vampire queen.

'Narasha, huh.. She's the real deal. Her every skill is A-rank. Other than the rank, some traits are almost similar to mine. It seems I can win after a struggle. I have the upper hand since I have a few trump cards under my sleeve.' Ashan analyzed the vampire queen, his mind strategizing.

Their eyes met for a moment. Seeing Ashan's unwavering gaze, Narasha spoke, her voice beautiful yet commanding.

"Impressive. In the past 315 years, I've mostly encountered demi-humans and a few humans. No one ever dared to look into my eyes, knowing their lives might end if they did. But you are different. You're looking at my eyes without fear. Is it fearlessness or boldness?"

Ashan smiled calmly. "Hmm.. So am I not allowed to look at you? We didn't expect to meet you either. Who knew a vampire was hiding here in the deep? And what's wrong with looking at you? Don't flowers bloom so that others can see their beauty?"

Narasha smiled at the indirect compliment. "You are indeed bold. No need to praise someone who is about to kill you."

"Do you think you can kill us? I doubt that. Don't underestimate others thinking they're weaker than you."

Narasha eyed Ashan sharply.

'That armored man is just a weakling, but the other green-eyed one is different. I can see his body overflowing with mana. His capabilities seem very high. In terms of power, is he on a similar level to me?'

She thought, then continued. "It seems you are the one who killed my pet. Aren't you?"

Ashan nodded. "If you're talking about the guardian which was guarding the entrance, yes. I killed it."

"I'm amazed. No one ever managed to scratch its body before. Everyone who entered either sacrificed someone or trapped it with magic. But somehow, you killed it. I'm curious how you did it."

Ashan smirked.

"Are you saying it was so powerful? Then why did it die after a few hits? If you're curious, why don't you ask for it yourself."

Narasha's eyes narrowed, a faint murderous intent radiating from her.

"After I defeat you, I will use you as my blood slave. I will suck your blood until you die."

Blood from the pools gathered before Ashan, forming particles that shaped into humanoid figures.

Ashan smirked. 'So those things are weak to fire. But before using fire, I need to use physical power to measure their strength.'

He glanced at Nevil.

"Nevil, see those soldiers with dark and dark red forms? You can defeat them. Avoid those with light red bodies. I'll take care of them. Attack their hearts. Be careful and act quick. Got it?"

Nevil nodded without questions, steeling himself.

"Then let's go."

They charged at the blood knights. The knights formed swords from blood and advanced. Ashan reached them first, landing a powerful punch on a bright red knight. Its core shattered instantly from the force. Without pause, a kick followed, and like a machine, Ashan demolished them relentlessly. Nevil joined, targeting cores and fending off attacks.

Narasha conjured a stunning chair from blood and sat, watching Ashan fight like a beast. His clothes ripped from the exertion.

The knights multiplied quickly, overwhelming Nevil. Noticing, Ashan swapped places with a knight and pulled Nevil to safety.

Narasha raised her eyebrows.

'Hoh.. so he can teleport too. That's not something an ordinary one can do. He is definitely skilled. But can he stop my unstoppable army?'
