He charged at the goblins, his speed blurring. Two with shields stepped forward to block his path.

Not just the shields shattered, the goblins were blown apart by the explosion's force, their bodies torn to pieces.
The remaining goblins panicked, realizing the fight was hopeless. They scattered, fleeing without regard for each other. Another Rasengan struck one in the head, exploding on impact. One by one, all five evolved goblins fell, their armored bodies littering the hall.

"Not only you, I can feel it too. A huge monster. It feels like some unknown force is blocking my senses. Should I try some basic magic?"
He touched the ground with his index finger and closed his eyes.

A weak mana wave rippled into the hall, spreading like a gentle breeze. Ashan grinned as feedback returned.
"Huh.. A guardian monster. It's chained. I had my expectations. This is going to take a while. If we sneak in…"

An angered wolf's growl echoed, and both noticed glowing red eyes piercing the darkness, fixed on them.
'Tch.. Sharp bastard. It noticed the spell I used. Now there's no other option.'
"Nevil, get ready. We're going in."
As they stepped into the hall, all the fire torches ignited simultaneously, bathing the space in flickering light. They finally saw what lurked within: a massive white wolf, scarred all over, with a long tail that could envelop its entire body. Ashan glanced at Nevil's sword and shield.

Ashan dashed at high speed toward the guardian. As he closed in, the wolf whipped its tail to attack. Ashan leaped back, using the shield to deflect. Before the next strike, he jumped toward its face for a surprise assault.
The guardian moved faster, jaws gaping to swallow him whole.
Instead of fear, Ashan grinned. He tossed the mana infused shield above the wolf's eyes and swapped places using Boogie Woogie. When the wolf reacted, it was too late.
Ashan stabbed its eyes viciously.
Roarrr...
The guardian thrashed its head in agony, tail flailing wildly. Ashan grabbed the shield and retreated swiftly.
'I finally blinded it. But this tail is a pain in the ass. I need to get rid of it before anything.'
He shouted to Nevil.
"Hey, do you have a dagger or something I can throw into the distance?"
Nevil quickly pulled a hidden dagger and tossed it. Ashan caught it with a satisfied smile.
"Nice. This will do the deed."
The guardian stilled, turning toward Ashan with eerie precision.
'Wow.. look at this damn thing. Even after losing its eyes, it still senses my presence. Then get ready for my next attack.'
Ashan concentrated chakra into his right hand. A Rasengan formed, basketball-sized.
No, this isn't enough. I need to make it bigger. More.
He used both hands to control the flow. The Rasengan expanded rapidly, growing to the size of a giant rock.
