Once he opened his eyes, he was in a different place, a place he remembers well. And still, He observed the scene through the eyes of his younger self, a mere passenger in his own body, without control over his movements.

He was twelve years old, pedaling a bike alongside Alfred, Ilona, and another boy. Ilona was the same age. The youngest, the little boy, was barely ten, and Alfred was nearing his 14th birthday.

They rode along the bike's driveway, while a car passed on the main road. Then, Kazimir saw a dog sprawled on the bike's driveway. He Panicked and slammed on the brakes, turning sharply to the right and hitting the pavement face first. Behind him, the others were overtaken by the chaos. they lost control of their bikes.

At that moment, Kazimir's awareness separated from his body and receded a few steps back, into third person view.

Time slowed. Ilona's bike swayed towards the pavement. The little boy went the other way, while Alfred's bike veered towards oncoming car.

The scene began to shift. The white and green pavement faded to black and gray. Above, three gray spheres aligned in a darkened sky.

Kazimir's attention shifted to the car approaching. From the car came a thin strand of smoke that spread into a silk-like cloak, adorned with a skull mask. It moved at normal speed against slowed down time.

A metallic arm with four large sharp claws materialized out of the cloak. It had veins and muscle. It struck the boy marking him with three large parallel cuts across his chest before disappearing and returning into the car.

Time returned to normal. Alfred and the boy hit the moving car. Kazimir turned to check on Ilona. Her face had turned into another metal skull with glowing too brightly to face. He had to closed his eyes.

He opened his eyes, again. This time he couldn't recall the place. A hospital corridor, with the Ilona's family beside him. In the distance, doctors and nurses pushed a bed, with the body of the young boy. Then the memory returned. The boy's name was Egor, Ilona's younger brother who died during their childhood. The details of Egor's death were vague in Kazimir's memory, lost to the passage of time.

The medical team wheeled egor into an operating room at the end of the corridor. Moments later, they came out, pushing Egor away, while another bed rolled in. It was Alfred. Kazimir followed Egor body into the room where it was placed. He stood beside him as the nurse injected something into his arms.

As Kazimir watched over Egor's unconscious body. It rose from the bed, turning to face Kazimir with an black skull for a face. In a hollow voice, he said, "You killed me."

Kazimir's body turned backward towards the door, where two nurses wheeled Alfred's into the room, followed by his parents. They rushed to embrace Egor's body. The mother's dark tears flowed uncontrolled. Kazimir looked again. Egor was nothing more than a skeleton with hollow eyes. The mother looked at him. "You killed my son."

Kazimir's attention turned to a glow coming from egor's hollows. He couldn't bear looking so he shut his eyes once more.
