Kazimir slowly opened his eyes. his surroundings were unknown yet they held an odd sense of familiarity. he couldn't remember how he got here or what this place was but he felt like he saw it before.

Green grass stretched beneath him. A clear blue sky stretched above, dotted with thin strands of clouds. There also was a sun, doing sun stuff.

A few trees stood in the distance. Their branches moved gently in the breeze. And then, materializing from thin air, a redhead girl appeared, sitting on the ground in front of him.

Suddenly, Kazimir felt a strange feeling, as if his body was getting smaller and smaller. It kept shrinking until he no a child once more.

The scene grew clearer before his eyes. Behind the little girl, he saw a family of four: a mother, a father, and two boys, slightly older than the girl. He knew those faces. That moment, he realized where he was.

This was the day he first met his wife. A memory buried deep within his mind when he had gotten lost from his family. A memory he hadn't had access to for months.

His mother's worried voice called his name from behind. She rushed towards him and scooped him up in her arms.

As she held him close, the world around him began to change. The once green grass turned to a desolate grey. A wave of darkness, black as night, began to devour the trees, crawling up from the roots like veins of ink. Branches twisted into jagged blades. Leaves withered and fell as ashes, as the darkness reached it.

The once blue sky turned into a black abyss. A weakened dim light shone of a dying sun turned into a grey sphere that soon split into three smaller orbs.

Kazimir turned to his mother's face as she held him in her hands. It had turned into a metal skull. Its hollow eyes stared back at him with overwhelming intensity. A sense of unease washed over him. He wanted to break free, but he found himself unable to move, imprisoned by her hold.

He Turned to the little girl on the ground. Her body was shredded into pieces, scattered across the grey grass in a pattern that felt familiar to him. Her head floated in the air, detached from the rest of the pieces(obviously, here is no body any more).

The floating head spoke in his wife's voice. "You killed my brother."

Kazimir's turned back to the family. only one of the two boys remained. The other seemed to have vanished.

Suddenly, movement returned to his limbs as his mother released her grip. He moved, not away. He couldn't. It was as if his body had a mind of its own, moving against his will. He was a only a passenger. All he could do is watch.

As he got closer to the family, it became clearer. The two parents held the skeletal remains of their other child. Dark tears streamed down their faces. The other boy sat beneath a nearby tree, staring at his hands, stained crimson with blood. A dark slime spawned outwards from the tree, surrounding the boy and swallowing him into its depth.

Kazimir feet moved him closer to the parents. He looked down into the little skull's hollow eyes. They glowed a violet hue that grew brighter and brighter, until it forced Kazimir to close his eyes.
