Chapter 22 - Pig Devil vs Accident Devil (2)

[1st POV]

The cargo ship came down like a falling continent and I did not wait for impact.

My hybrid form was that of a pig, with tusks growing out from my teeth. Those tusks found their use more than just looking scary. The tusks grew and I dug underground as fast as I could, and as deep as I could. I was like a wild boar burrowing down to hide from predators.

The earth shook violently as the upside down ship slammed into the valley. I felt myself being crushed inside the earth, the vibration was like an earthquake as I still suffered severe consequences from the crash.

But since I was able to burrow quite deep, it was still much better than tanking the ship head on.

The soil vibrated like the world was a drum being beaten to death. But at least I was not chopped into sushi by a flying helicopter blade or flattened by a refrigerator. Maybe I should stay here forever.

Welp, who am I kidding? I needed to breathe, so I dug myself out from the ground and burst out like a demon mole.

I looked up, and the hurricane was still present. The annoying siren was also still there. But the thing that completely filled the inside of this hurricane is the cargo ship that leaned diagonally inside, it seemed to be nailed on the ground.

I tried to breathe but realised I couldn't. My lungs had collapsed while I was underground and it was taking some time to heal.

That was a bit concerning. It meant I was running out of juice.

I inhaled after I healed better, filling my new lungs with burning air. My body was made anew as it healed, it was another transformation, a little different from last time. My body was instinctively changing to fit the situation. I couldn't heal as good anymore so it had to focus on defense.

My fur sharpened, and each strand became thin metal like a scalpel. Then teeth grew from my skin and armoured my whole body with white teeth. But that was not enough, the teeth also grew teeth until a thick layer of bone-like armour covered my whole body. I looked like a hairy white pig, but the fur was all sharp like blades.

"Alright. Try cutting me now, asshole."

Glass shards, nails, screws, and other small projectiles rained down on me. But they simply sparked off my new body.

I smiled in satisfaction.

Then I picked myself up from the ground. My body was still thin but with the layer of armour, I was bulky and looked like a mini tank.

I looked up to the sky, searching for a way to hurt the Accident Devil. If I was in a hurricane, then this storm must have an eye.

Right then, I caught a single piece of flesh floating at the centre of the storm. It was a brain.

"Found your weakness," my smile was full of teeth.

I tapped the cargo ship, feeling the metal it was made of. And then I grew blades on the bottom of my feet.

I needed to get to the eye of this storm.

So I launched myself up, flipping my body horizontally and I began running on the vertical side of the tall cargo ship. My weight could not be fully supported so I had to crawl up like Spiderman at one point.

My blades dug into the metal. Sparks flew, it looked like I was riding the sparks.

The hurricane roared when it saw me making my way to the eye of the storm. The whole sky was like an angry scrapyard and it began throwing the projectiles at me.

Wheel rims, toasters, chunks of highway, steel beams, spinning saws, a ceiling fan, and even a baby stroller. The Accident really had no standard, it threw everything at me. It was like running up a blender.

My scalpel fur sliced through the small projectiles while some bounced off me when they met my armour. The giant ship also made it impossible to attack me from everywhere so the storm was much easier to bear.

I didn't let anything distract me, my focus was solely on the brain floating at the centre of the storm. I was convinced that everything would be over if I destroyed the brain. It must be its main body.

But then something big hit the side of the ship, causing the entire hull to bend. It was a fridge. Again. What the hell was so scary about refrigerators? Are they really that dangerous?

I nearly slipped but I managed to stab my arm into the metal to anchor myself. After catching balance, I simply continued to move upwards.

An anchor fell towards me, I swiped my arms and the iron anchor was split into different parts that bounced off my body.

Then I got an idea. I carved an entrance on the side of the ship and jumped inside. The enclosed space gave me room to breathe and a much needed respite. I continued to climb up the ship from the inside.

But my short respite did not last long as the inside of the ship began attacking me. But they were much easier to deal with than the random bullshits thrown at me outside.

I continued on, the Accident Devil tried but it could not stop me.

After I ran up half the height of the vertical cargo ship, I dug myself out again. By then, I was in the same elevation as the eye of the storm. I jumped and reached out for the piece of the devil floating at the centre. My target was just within grasp.

It was a brain, human-sized too.

But while in mid air, a car appeared from thin air to my side and drove towards me. It was going to slam into me but I quickly turned my fingers into scalpels and tore through the car before it could reach me.

"Got you!!" I screamed in victory when I held the brain between my hands.

Then I proceeded to crush it between my now scalpel fingers.

It was the end.

Or at least it was supposed to be.

But the devil's flesh slipped through my fingers like liquid. Those crushed pieces reformed near my hand and changed into something else. From a human brain, it took the shape of a cylinder.

I watched it with wide eyes as labels began forming on the steel cylinder. A hazard sticker with a skull was displayed on the label and by the time when it was fully formed and I could read the word "GAS" written on it, it was too late.

"Son of a-"

BOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

My armour was obliterated, and the explosion sent me flying down towards the valley like a meteorite.

When I crashed, the sheer force caused the earth to open up and embrace me like it was water. And then everything turned into solid again. The ground cracked like glass, a huge crater was carved for me and I lay there like a baby in their cradle.

Things were not looking good.

I got up slowly with a groan. My armour was cracked and falling off my body. I quickly scanned myself, seeing that I was still intact but not for long I suppose.

I shook off the armour and turned into a pure pig form again. Then I began digging underground. I dug and dug and dug until I was deep enough. And then I continued digging sideways, trying to escape from the hurricane underground.

After a long digging that made sure I would be out of the vicinity, I emerged back out from the ground.

But...

"Still here huh," I said, half of my pig torso out in the open.

I looked around the surroundings, not finding the cargo ship or the craters I had made. That meant I was moving away, but the hurricane simply followed me wherever I went.

It couldn't be helped. I pulled myself out from the ground and stood up.

I looked up at the hurricane, at this chaotic domain that held every accident imaginable. I was lost on what to do. For a second, I thought this might be it for this extra life of mine. It was fun while it lasted. I had tons of great food, met my favourite characters, and for just a short while, I thought I had carved a paradise in what I initially assumed was hell.

But just as those thoughts plagued my mind, there was also another part of me that said, "Fuck that."

I had barely lived. How long has it been? A few months? A few months of normalcy were not enough to compensate for the years I spent in that hellhole.

I didn't want to die. I was not going to die.

There must be a reason why I am here, in this fictional world turned real. I didn't even know how or why I was put here, and I ain't planning on giving up until I find that reason and also enjoy myself to my heart's content.

The sirens began anew, this time, it was a tad bit different from the previous one. I realised then that the sirens were almost like laughing for the devil. It was playing with me, it was mocking and not even attacking me.

It was giving me time to despair.

I'll take it. Mock me more. Laugh at me.

I played back the battle that had happened so far in my mind. I thought in detail what went wrong, what I did right and how I could win from this experience.

The Pig Devil doesn't work. I could turn into my titan form again but that would simply make me a bigger target again while consuming much fuel and energy. The Scalpel Devil doesn't work. The Teeth Devil was effective but not enough. The Forest Devil would find no use here.

The Rabies Devil and the Sex Devil were out of their field. There was nothing here where I could use their abilities. Unless I unironically tried to rape the Accident Devil. It suggested that, so maybe it knew how?

And lastly...

The Cannibal Devil, my newest prisoner.

"What can you do?" I asked in my mind while quickly adding the Cannibal Devil in my transformation.

I grew a third eye on my forehead and my whole body took a more horrifying and bloody shift. New instincts were added when I transformed.

"Oh."

My hunger, the never-ending hunger I had as the Pig Devil, increased tenfold. It was unimaginable. I didn't know such hunger and greed could ever exist.

And what didn't look to me like food before looked like food to me.

I looked at the hurricane again. And I no longer saw a chaos of accidents or destruction. I saw paradise. A world where everything was food, from the smallest nail to the biggest pieces of boulders.

Food, those were food.

Every form of accident represented in this domain was made by a piece of the devil's flesh. Meaning everything was a part of it, it was everything. It would be a correct comparison to say that I was literally inside the Accident Devil.

I raised my hand and caught a hammer that was flying past me. I held it down and looked at it for a moment before I put it in my mouth and started chewing. It was steel and wood at first, but after chewing for a bit, it turned into a Devil's flesh.

It was like cotton candy. Most of it dissolved and a small piece of devil's flesh could be produced from it.

No shit. I ate the plane, didn't I?

Fear was gone, replaced by a sense of euphoria when I looked at the hurricane. Despair turned into excitement. The endlessness of this devil excited me.

A feast like never before.

My body grew and healed fully. I finally realized that the Cannibal Devil's ability was a perfect match made in hell. Kind of like the Mortality Devil and the Accident Devil.

I felt myself getting strong and regaining my insane healing factor from that tiny piece of devil's flesh. The devil's flesh was like human blood to me

Cannibalism. I was a devil eating devil.

I grinned.

The siren lost volume before it came to a complete stop. The Accident Devil could sense something was wrong, something had changed.

The whole game flipped. My perspective changed. In my mind, the Accident Devil turned from this powerful enemy into a chilli. A food that would fight back a bit when eaten, that is all it was.

The hurricane slowed down. The objects began floating in mid air. They gathered enough to cast a shadow on me.

I simply spread my arms.

"It's like Cloudy and the Chance of Meatballs," I said.

The objects gained insane momentum. They shattered the sound barrier and rained down on me.

I greeted them with a widening grin.
