The next morning after the dinner at Mr Lucien's, Elena decided to go to somewhere else other than the company, so after a quick bath, she quickly wore a pair of black pants and a tank top on a white canvas.
Then she tied her hair in a loose ponytail as she walked down the stairs, looking around, she saw no one so, she walked out quickly to avoid a confrontation from her stepmother and her shameless stepsister.
Elena arrived at huge modern shop, when
she looked up at the word "Elly's fashion hub" written boldly and fashionably on the wall above the door, Elena felt a tang of pride in her heart.
She stepped into a sleek , modern boutique, the familiar scent of luxury fabrics and chic decor enveloping her. Employees greeted her warmly as she made her way to the manager's office.
Aisha, the shop manager, a young vibrant lady smiled cheerfully with quite an usual dark skin, rushed out. The girl had Syrian accent and she seemed to be in her early twenties as well.
"Elena! Welcome!" She greeted happily her eyes lighting up as if she an angel had just arrived.
Elena smiled, genuinely happy to be there. "Hey Aisha! Just checking in. How's business?"
Aisha nodded enthusiastically. "Booming! Your designs are flying off the shelves."
Elena's eyes lit up with interest. "Which ones are selling fastest?"
Aisha pulled out her phone. "The silver embroidered dress and those statement earrings you did last season..."
Elena listened intetly, ideas already brewing.
Aisha continued, "We need to restock those silver dresses ASAP. Customers are asking for them nonstop."
Elena nodded, making mental notes. "I'll get the team on it. What about the new collection? Any feedback?"
Aisha leaned in. "Honestly, it's getting rave reviews. People love the fusion of traditional and modern elements."
Elena smiled, satisfaction settling in. "Glad to hear that."
Aisha pulled out her tablet. "Want to check the sales figures?"
Elena nodded. Aisha handed Elena the tablet, showing her the impressive numbers on screen. Elena's eyes widened slightly as she scrolled through the data.
"Wow, these are better than expected," Elena said, a hint of excitement creeping into her voice.
Aisha grinned. "Told you, boss. Your brand's on fire."
Elena handed the tablet back, a plan already forming in her mind. "Let's push the new collection harder. Get some influencers in for a showcase."
Aisha nodded, jotting down notes. "Will do."
Elena glanced around the boutique, feeling a sense of pride.
Elena phone buzzed in her bag. She pulled it out, her father's name flashed on the screen.
Aisha raised her eyebrow. "Trouble?" Elena shook her head , she sighed before answering the call.. ". Dad..."
Her father's voice came through, stern and lipped. "Elena was going on? Mr Lucien told me you said you don't want a proper wedding?"
"Yes.. I said so!" She answered stubbornly.
"Howw... How..?" He was so angry that he couldn't say a complete sentence.
"What? How dare me?" She chuckled.
"It's my wedding remember?" She said mockingly.
Edward wondered who he must have offended in his previous life to have such a daughter.
"How could you?" He gritted his teeth.
"It is what it is, father." She laughed again continuing with her mockery, befoe hanging up on him.
"Hey... Aisha I'll head back now, something came up, but I'll drop over sometime soon with some new designs!" Elena waved good bye at her as she drove her car back home.
When Elena got home, she walked past Cassy quickly as she wasn't in the mood to listen to her gibberish words.
As soon as she got into her room, Elena went into the secret room, but this time around, she went to the walk in wardrobe.
Inside the walk-in wardrobe, Elena opened a big drawer, she then pulled out a white sleeveless dress, the dress sparkled the moment she brought it out. The dress was quite simple but very elegant, it was one of her designs, it was one of the only limited dresses she had made for herself.
She smiled fondly the dress softly,
"my dear sparkling, I would have to make use of you tomorrow, okay?" She then placed the dress back into the huge drawer.
Elena walked out of the walk in wardrobe, she sat by one of the computers on the main room. "Now....what to do with red?" She smiled devilishly. Then her fingers typed quickly on the keyboard.
Red was an old friend of hers, they always had a fight whenever they met, and when they did not? They would just try to hack into each others computer or phone, it was sometimes very difficult because both of them were very talented computer guru, they were top hackers, and most importantly, they had learnt everything from the same masters!.
After playing around for sometime, Elena was able to tap into the CCTV camera in his bedroom, like always, he was making out with a woman on the bed.
Elena called him. At first she thought he wouldn't pick up, but he did, after the second ring.
"Hey, buddy.... got yourself a new girl? " she asked laughing evily.
"What now?" He frowned impatiently .
She chuckled. "I see your taste for women hasn't gotten any better, how could she be wearing such silly colour combination? What's that scarf for?" she asked him mischievously.
The man angrily hung up, he then looked at the woman on the bed realised that Elena was right, he stood up angrily, cursing inwardly.
"Get out." He said massaging his forehead, his voice was soft but it contained his irritation.
That damn woman! He would get back at her! The woman on the bed walked out looking at him like someone who had gone crazy.
