The guards see me and run toward me. I jump up, and my hood is connected to me with a fusion spell so that my face never comes into view. I fly down and slam into the ground. The guards are blown away by a shockwave, remain unconscious, and I walk onto the property with an angry expression beneath my hood and draw my dagger.
"If possible, I don't want to kill anyone," I say quietly to myself.
I look around and see even more guards. Since I don't want to fight much, I try to sneak past them, but it doesn't work, and the guards turn around during their patrol. I blur in movement and appear behind one of them, striking him with the blunt side of my dagger, and he falls unconscious to the ground. A guard nearby notices, but I do exactly the same to him. No one else notices anything. I see an open window and go through it. Meanwhile, a maid sees the unconscious guards and screams. I duck so that I can no longer be seen from the outside. After that, I go to a door."That seems to be the storage room," I think and leave the storage room, stepping into the entrance hall, which is as large as my house. I hear footsteps from above. I use a concealment spell that only lasts ten minutes, but it has to be enough to hide. I run under the stairs and cancel the spell. After that, I hear a rough voice and an almost crying girl.
"Hey sweetie, after three years in which your mother was so great, you're finally old enough," says the rough voice with a smile.
I look slightly past the stairs. A girl with an orange tail and ears, probably Alya's sister, and Baron Limba. My mana eyes intensify even more. I clench my fists but remain under the stairs.
"Are you already looking forward to our night, little one?" says the baron as he strokes her.
I can no longer restrain myself and run toward the baron. With a strike from behind, I knock him to the ground. The girl looks at me with tear-filled eyes. The baron stands up and calls the guards. I grab the girl's hand and am about to run out when fifteen guards come through the door. We are surrounded from all sides, and there are more than one hundred fifty guards. The girl collapses to the ground, and a slave collar releases sleeping powder into her. I am pushed to the ground and arrested.
"You will end up in the dungeon," says the baron with a confident smile and then laughs loudly.
I grin with my head pressed to the ground, and no one sees it."Whether it's the dungeon or not, it will work to my advantage," I think as five guards pull me up. I do not resist and am dragged into the dungeon cellar. A dungeon cell is opened, I am thrown inside, and the door is closed. I hear soft crying as the guards leave.
"Our daughter, she will tonight…" says a female, crying voice."We must live with our origin," says a sad male voice.
I clench my fists and punch the cell wall, but not a scratch appears. The two in the neighboring cell notice the blow and recoil in fear.
"What was that?" the woman asks, startled."It was me. I will save you," I say with a determined expression and clench my fists so hard that the veins on my hands are visible.
The two in the neighboring cell say nothing more and look at each other in confusion. I channel reinforcement magic into my hand, and it glows red. Then I strike the wall again, and small cracks appear. I strike once more, and it breaks apart, creating a hole large enough to pass through. Since I created a sound barrier beforehand, no crashing of stones can be heard, and the stability of the mansion prevents any shaking. The two beastmen flinch and tremble slightly.
"W-w-who are you?" the woman asks with a trembling voice."I am Min, and I am here to save you," I say calmly and walk to the cell bars.
I grab the bars and deform them into an opening one can pass through. I step through but signal for them to stay and wait for my return. I go to the right and up the cellar stairs. I see three guards and observe them carefully. One moves in my direction, but not to go down."I only have about twenty minutes," I think and then move under the stairs with my concealment spell. The guards notice nothing as I quietly go up the stairs."If anything, the girl is upstairs," I think and first go left into the bedroom. After all, he wants to do inappropriate things with the girl. I see the girl sitting on the bed, already undressing. She sits on the bed in her underwear. I cancel the spell and cover her mouth, trying not to make it uncomfortable for her.
"Quick, get dressed," I whisper softly.
She simply nods and quickly gets dressed again. I take her hand and run out quickly. I cast a double spell and conceal both of us. The baron comes up the stairs but does not yet enter the bedroom.
"Oh yes, this little girl will satisfy me," he says.
"Disgusting bastard," I think and look toward the stairs leading to the cellar. I jump down with the girl in my arms and make the fall silent. I run down the stairs with her and already see her parents running toward me as I cancel the concealment spell. I cover their mouths and cast a quadruple concealment spell. The three stare at me in confusion."Right, double and all these multi-spells aren't exactly normal," I think and look at them.
"I'll explain everything later," I say quietly.
The three simply nod, and we quickly run up and see an open door with an open window."Lisa, I will always save the beastmen, no matter how dangerous. After all, it is in your honor," I think and jump through the window, followed by the other three. Suddenly, a scream from the baron comes from the mansion, and we run into a deserted alley, then I cancel the spell.
"Why did you do this, I mean, save us?" the girl asks me."Alya asked me to," I say calmly.
I place all three of them into a bubble that is as stable as the hardest metal and jump onto a roof while they stare at me after hearing the name Alya."Alya is probably waiting in front of the school," I think and jump toward the school, where Alya really is already waiting. I land in front of her with her family inside the bubble.
"Here, as promised," I say with a smile on my face.
The four begin to cry and embrace each other as I dissolve the bubble. Alya then takes my hand and bows. I smile slightly.
"Thank you, truly. What could I give you to thank you?" Alya says with tear-filled eyes."It's fine, Alya. I was happy to do it," I say and wave my hands wildly in front of me. I smile again after a short moment.
Alya looks at me in confusion but then nods gratefully. I look at her one last time and wave goodbye. I jump onto a roof, and my hood falls down. The family sees it and falls to their knees.
"His appearance is that of the hero," says the woman.
They fall silent while I already land in front of my house and go inside. Suri is already waiting for me with a worried expression.
"You're finally back, Min," she says anxiously.
I smile slightly again and look at her as she hugs me without realizing it. She jumps back when she realizes what she just did and turns tomato red. I go into the entrance area, place my cloak and dagger back on the chair, then sit down on the couch. The rest of the day goes as usual in my everyday life, but when I go into the kitchen, I notice that the refrigerator is empty."Alya must have eaten everything," I think and head out once more.
"My status, I haven't opened it in a long time since it seems to be nonsense," I say quietly to myself.
I walk straight to the fruit stand where an elderly woman is standing and already smiling at me.
"I'd like two bananas and three apples," I say and look around.
The elderly woman nods and smiles. She slowly turns around, takes two bananas from the bunch and three apples as well, and puts everything into a bag. Meanwhile, I place seven silver coins down and then look at the stand next door where bread is displayed. I take the bag, quickly go to the other stand, buy a loaf of bread, and place four silver coins down. After that, I go straight back home, where Suri is still sitting on the couch. The day passes like a blur, and it is already evening. I go to my bedroom, get into bed, and fall asleep.
