Chapter 10 - The escape

I sit down and look the three girls in the eyes, who immediately jump at me and hug me. They start crying with joy.

"Min, you're alive, I'm so glad," says Mia with a crying voice.

I hug the three of them and smile lightly. The room is big enough to stand in. I briefly look at the ceiling and think about Lisa's words once more. I see the fruit in Mia's hand and take a banana apple and bite into it, a sour sweet taste. I go to the surface and look around.

"Come up, we're going to a village that's a bit far away," I say.

The three nod and come up. They look around and I then simply walk forward and start leading our group. I go ahead into the forest and look around. Since I notice nothing, I just keep going. The leaves rustle a little and you can hear squirrels jumping through the trees. I look up at the trees and see how they stuff acorns into the tree trunks. We go deeper and deeper into the forest. It gets darker as the trees become denser. Only a few rays of sunlight shine through. We occasionally hear and see harmless and weak monsters. We make it out of the forest unharmed and see a small village that is not our destination. On the way there we see adventurers who are currently fighting ten copper golems and three silver golems. One of the adventurers is badly injured, the mage has almost no mana left, and the third is also at his limit.

"Stay here, I'll help them," I say with a protective look.

The three nod hesitantly and then sit down on the ground, looking in the direction I'm running. I jump into the air and land on one of the copper golems. The adventurers look at me confused. "I need a new identity," I think while my hood stays firmly on my head. With a color transformation spell I give myself blue hair and blue eyes. My hood flies down and the healer looks at me with a joyful expression. "Who is that," thinks the swordsman who is barely still standing but then collapses to the ground. I strike the copper golem with my bare hand and it shatters into 20 large pieces. I jump to the next one and draw my dagger. With five cuts in a short time I destroy two at the same time. The adventurers' eyes widen in admiration but also surprise, as they have probably never seen something like this before. I land on the ground and blur in motion. I appear behind a copper golem that loses its legs and falls to the ground. I do this six more times with the copper golems. After that I run toward the three silver golems and jump onto one, but just as I strike I am thrown off and land hard on the ground. I quickly get back up and see how the arm is 2 cm away from me. "Shit, I have to act fast, what do I do," I think and then jump with a jerk toward the arm. The arm comes closer and closer and I cut it into many small pieces. I run up his other arm. I grip my dagger tighter and slice his head clean off. The first of the three silver golems is dead. I jump to the next silver golem who uses a hardening spell. I stop in midair and land on the ground. The silver golem jumps and the earth begins to shake. I fall and narrowly dodge a kick from him. My breathing becomes faster. I take a deep breath and then sprint up his arm with body enhancement. My speed can no longer be followed by the eye. Hardly a second passes before the silver golem is already on the ground. I do the same to the other silver golem and then land in front of the adventurers.

"I'm sorry for helping without asking," I say with a smile.

The three adventurers look at me in shock as if they had just seen something impossible, and the three girls come over as well. They catch their breath and the adventurers all stand up.

"Thank you very much, the three of us couldn't have done this alone," says the swordsman and nods slightly.

I wave goodbye to them and the three adventurers wave back to us. The four of us head toward the village where we take a short break, or rather spend the night. "It will take another two days until we reach our destination," I think and keep walking. I look up into the sky where the stars are slowly beginning to appear. We arrive at the village where only two people are still walking through the streets. I look around and see an inn where you can stay overnight. I point at it and go inside.

"Good evening," says the receptionist as he sees us enter.

He chuckles lightly and then looks back and forth between me and the girls. "Shit, I only have 10 gold coins left," I think and walk to the reception where the receptionist is still chuckling. He pulls me toward him.

"Hey, so young and already a harem," the receptionist says quietly to me.

I look at him and recognize his face, a bearded face with silver eyes and black hair. I remember him.

"Oh, Joka, why are you working here," I ask him with a questioning expression.

He laughs loudly and puts me in an even tighter headlock. I grab his arm and twist it so that he is just barely not injured. He whines around.

"Ow, you've gotten strong," says Joka with a smile on his face.

I nod and then place 1 gold coin and 2 silver coins in front of him.

"So, one night please and four rooms," I say to Joka and take the four keys.

We go up the stairs on the left and I look at Joka once more. The girls take a closer look at my new appearance and their eyes begin to sparkle when they see my sky blue eyes and my blue hair. We go into one of our rooms and I pull all three inside so no one can see it. I snap my fingers and the girls' hair changes as well. Mia gets violet hair and green eyes. With Suri, many things change because I transform her into a normal human with silver hair and yellow eyes. Then lastly I transform Luna, who gets black hair and silver eyes.

"Alright, and now the names, hand over the papers," I say to the three of them.

The three give me their papers that are needed for entry into large cities or villages. Since this is a small, very small village, something like that does not exist here. I snap my fingers and also take out my papers, which now show the new picture of my new appearance, just like with the three girls, and the names have changed as well. My new name is Cro. Luna's new name is Lui. Suri's new name is Sür. Mia's new name is Mori. I give the papers back to them and they carefully examine them. No sign of forgery can be found. I put my papers away.

"So these are our new identities," I say with a smile.

I snap my fingers and our clothes change, except for mine which simply change from black to dark blue. I leave the room and the girls follow me downstairs. Joka just looks at us and then looks at the newspaper beside him where the incident is already written about. He immediately knows it was us, but he stays calm because I saved his life three years ago. He looks at me. "He's not muscular at all, yet he's probably top 30 or top 20, no one can touch him in this country," Joka thinks and watches us as we get some food, an apple that is cut open and slightly hollowed out with banana mush inside. Since it is included in the price, you don't have to pay extra. We sit down at a table.

"Min, how does magic like that even work," Mia asks excitedly, expecting an interesting and special answer.

"That's manipulation magic, nothing more," I say as if it were nothing.

Mia looks at me disappointed because she thought it would be something interesting, but she cannot understand that it is just manipulation magic, since the papers are equipped with anti-magic barriers. "That's not normal manipulation magic," Luna thinks while examining the papers once more. The inn is completely empty except for us and Joka. We start eating and are already finished after a few minutes. We stand up and take the plates. We put them away and then go upstairs.

"Good night, Joka," I say before going up.

We go upstairs and I go into the room at the very back, while Mia goes into the second room, Suri into the first room, and Luna into the third room. Since this inn only has four rooms, it is already full with sleeping places, but everyone can eat here, which is why there are also relatively many tables downstairs. The four of us go to bed and fall asleep.
