"It's not too bad, is it?" Ian gripped Eugene's hand on their way back from the restaurant, smiling softly.
"Well..." Eugene turned his head away, staring at the scenery outside. "I guess."
Honestly, Eugene hadn't been at his best behaviour, always throwing jabs here and there. But it made him look like the youngest child, which Ian thought was adorable. If Eugene truly hated the twins, he wouldn't even bother talking at all.
Like when Raphael commented about the amount of food that filled the big table between them, and Eugene told the oldest twin to just eat his fill because there might come a time when he couldn't even eat three meals a day while waiting for paychecks.
