"I don't need to wear a mask?" Eugene asked.
They met Ashley in the company's parking lot. Eugene didn't even remember when the last time he was there was; probably before he was in a relationship with Arthur? He met some of the employees at his wedding though—and some post-production crew at Arthur's birthday—so it didn't feel that weird.
But it seemed like some media people were still lurking around the company. No matter how silently and cleanly Ashley tried to get rid of the rotten apples, the industry built upon exposure could never fully hide anything. And while the 'scandal' had been cleared up, the interest level only increased.
"It was necessary before, since you're going to a place where people don't usually go," Ashley explained. "If you enter the company with a mask, it'll only make the lurking reporters suspicious of your identity."
