"Then come and try!"
High above the battlefield, Sharn coiled through the clouds in his Black Dragon of Violet Lightning form.
Unlike Enel's pale-blue lightning, Sharn's thunder burned dark purple, carrying a killing chill that turned the sky itself into a weapon.
Clouds thickened, the heavens dimmed — day became night beneath his storm.
Even the battle-hardened Chameleon, who had seen countless monsters across the New World, now faced something new.
He didn't yet understand that Sharn had become a living fusion of the three great Devil Fruit classes — Zoan, Paramecia, and Logia — wielding the highest forms of each.
The Swallow-Swallow Fruit (吞吞果实) had given him the ability to merge abilities and matter; soon he would even integrate the Rubber Fruit into his organs, making his body a limitless forge of synthesis.
Sharn was no longer a man — he was an evolving creature of chaos.
"You're looking for death!"
Chameleon's body suddenly blurred — and burst into smoke.
"Ten years ago," he hissed, "I killed a Logia user of the Smoke-Smoke Fruit in the North Sea."
"Three years later, I retrieved the same fruit — and offered it to the divine."
"You're just another beast — even the strongest Zoans die to my Haki and my power."
"Among all fruits, Zoans may endure, but Paramecias transcend reality."
He pressed both hands to his head. Smoke poured from his body like a storm breaking loose.
"I've copied more abilities than you could ever imagine. Zoan, Paramecia, Logia — I can wield them all. Tell me, Sharn… what do you have that I don't?"
Chameleon's laughter echoed across the harbor, dry and cruel. His hands alone were coated in advanced Armament Haki, hard as black iron, while the rest of him dispersed into intangible smoke.
"Now," he sneered, "can you feel despair?"
Gasps filled the harbor.
Marines and hidden pirates alike froze in awe.
A Logia-type CP0 leader? Unheard of.
Now it made sense why the world called Chameleon the strongest CP0 in history — a man who had defied biology itself.
With his Copy-Copy Fruit, he had transcended the limits of bloodline factor and creation.
He wasn't just strong — he was impossible.
"Despair? Just because you're Logia?"
Sharn laughed, a low, mocking rumble.
Lightning crackled between his teeth.
"Who doesn't have a Logia nowadays?"
Violet arcs coursed under his black scales, his entire body overflowing with stormlight.
"You call me a tyrant, don't you?"
"Then let me show you what kind of tyrant lightning can be!"
One claw compressed lightning and Haki through the Paw-Paw Fruit, while the other pointed toward the harbor where Chameleon's smoke spread.
"Violet Lightning — Three Thousand Li!"
Boom!
A colossal beam of purple thunder blasted forward, distorting the very air as it tore through the sky.
Smoke or not — could vapor outpace lightning?
"Thunder — Rule This Realm!"
The heavens exploded.
Every wisp of smoke was shattered, replaced by a forest of lightning pillars crashing down from the clouds.
The entire port became a cage of thunder.
The light reached across all of Jaya Island, illuminating even the far jungles.
Hidden among them, the descendants of Mont Blanc Noland looked up in fear — the small town of Mock Town was being erased under the weight of gods.
"What right do you have to rule!?"
Chameleon's voice was lost in the roar.
The thunderstorm consumed everything.
Marines fell one by one — even Vice Admirals and CP0 agents were forced to their knees, dodging and shielding themselves with Haki.
To defeat Sharn now, one needed speed beyond lightning and Haki strong enough to strike through nature itself.
But since merging his internal organs with Devil Fruits, Sharn had already made himself into a living weapon.
Every weakness had been burned away.
There was only evolution — and madness.
And no one could defeat a madman, except someone madder.
Chameleon was insane… but not that insane.
Smoke surged again, coalescing into a smoke dragon, which roared and lunged toward Sharn's violet-black form.
The beast's head shimmered with Armament Haki, its fangs biting through the storm.
Even compared to Smoker decades later, Chameleon's version of the Smoke-Smoke Fruit was terrifying — his mastery far exceeded any natural user's, and his Haki was stronger still.
He believed this would end it.
That only he could bring release to the chaos Sharn had unleashed.
"Smoke Dragon Bash!"
Boom!
Two dragons — one of violet lightning, one of gray mist — crashed together.
The shock shattered the clouds above, sending shards of rain and light through the air.
"Where's your body?"
Sharn narrowed his golden eyes, searching through the storm, using Observation Haki to sense the true form of his foe.
"Hahaha! You'll never find me!" Chameleon's voice thundered back.
"I'm beyond your reach! I'm invincible! You can't hit what isn't there!"
He wasn't wrong — his elemental form and Observation Haki far surpassed Sharn's own.
There was no way to pinpoint him.
"Doesn't matter," Sharn said, smiling.
"If my range is large enough… even a Logia can't hide forever."
Chameleon blinked, confused — and in that instant, Sharn struck.
His claws, charged for minutes with compressed air, lightning, and Haki, slashed through the smoke dragon's chest.
The very air collapsed, forming a vacuum prison.
The massive smoke dragon was pulled inward — trapped, compressed, shrinking from hundreds of meters to barely ten.
Within that collapsing sphere, Sharn's Violet Lightning, Armament Haki, and Air Pressure Cannon detonated together — using the smoke dragon's head as a core.
If he couldn't find the body — he would destroy every particle of it.
BOOM!
Violet thunder erupted like a supernova.
For a heartbeat, the sky was white.
"You— you bastard! How did you even think of that!?"
Chameleon coughed blood — he had been hit directly.
Only his Haki saved his real body, forcing him to revert to solid form, panting, scorched, and furious.
"I'm the man who can copy everything! You think cheap tricks will work on me?"
"Fool! You've yet to see my true power!"
Every muscle in his body ignited with Armament Haki, his skin turning jet black.
He might have made mistakes, but he refused to believe he could lose.
Zoan? He'd copied it.
Logia? He was one.
Paramecia? He had dozens in his arsenal.
"You'll understand soon, Sharn — just how strong I really am!"
He thrust his arm forward — and an Air Door opened before him.
Through it, he struck.
A fist shot out of another portal right before Sharn's face.
"Iron Body: Steel Breaker!"
The blow rang like a bell, Haki smashing forward like a divine hammer aimed for Sharn's skull.
Against such force, capable of breaking even Zoan scales and Logia bodies, Sharn knew what he needed —
Speed. Power. More.
His eyes lit like lightning.
