"…Why is that surprising and unsurprising?"
Lucien gave him a strange look. "Are you asking because you don't know?"
"No, I'm asking because I do know, I'm just asking you for the fun of it." He replied flatly.
"Ha. Only you could get away with saying something like that," he muttered.
That's when Kenneth realized that he might've spoken out of turn. Even if he was just Lucien to him, he was still a Captain. His face turned apologetic, and he was about to apologize when Lucien uttered words that stunned him into silence.
"You're an attractive man, so it's hard for me to believe you've never been hit on before. However, I can also see why people would keep their distance when looking at you. Or maybe it's the other way around?"
"…."
"Maybe you don't trust people, or you're not interested in committed relationships." He continued. Those words seemed to get a reaction out of him.
