Lucien looked at Kenneth with wide eyes, like he'd just misheard him, which was a fair reaction considering how standoffish he'd been acting up until now.
"You mean…you actually had fun?" Lucien said after recovering from his shock.
Kenneth nodded, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I did, surprisingly."
Lucien was miffed by those words. "What do you mean, surprisingly?"
"Exactly that. I didn't know what to picture or to expect when you invited me out. To be quite honest with you, I never know what to expect whenever I have to spend time with you. You can be a lot."
The Striker had no words. This was the first time he'd ever heard such words being uttered about him. Not once had he been known as "unexpected", or "a lot". He couldn't help but laugh. He found himself doing that a lot whenever he was around Kenneth.
"I guess you make a point. I haven't always been on my best behaviour around you," he admitted.
"So you're self-aware, good to know."
