"It is over." Grant collapsed to the floor, falling on one knee.
The guests looked at the couple and they shook their heads.
"We should leave. We do not want to be on Alexander's bad side." One said, and walked out, but not without scoffing at Grant and Elena.
The rest of the guests filed out, while making sure they cut ties with the couple.
"How could Serena be affiliated with Alexander?" Grant murmured under his breath.
"You shouldn't be worried about how Serena knows him. Instead, you should think about how you would salvage this situation. There is no way those old geezers would want to cooperate with us after today." Elena advised.
Grant looked at the hall which had already been deserted and he nodded. "You are right. The biggest issue now is to improve our reputation."
"There is no way they would want to work with us after what happened today. It isn't helping matters that Alexander is involved in this as well. The company would take a major hit"
