Third Person's POV
"What could that be?" Serena suppressed her fears and asked.
"Your father wants to hand over your mother's bakery to Elena. He wants her to manage it."
"What?" Serena's eyes widened. "How could my father do such a thing?"
Mama's expression turned dull. "I don't know why your dad decided to take such a step."
"I will confront him. He can't take away my mom's life work and give it away to a stranger."
Serena didn't wait for any reply as she rushed into the living room. There, she saw that the room was bustling with activities.
Her dad was surrounded by people and they were laughing. Elena was there as well, and excitement was written all over her face. Why wouldn't she be? She was about to get something she didn't work for.
"Father." Serena called out once she was close enough. All eyes turned to her instantly, and they began murmuring among themselves.
"Isn't this the legitimate daughter of the Wilsons?"
