I picked my phone up from my desk and called one of my informants in the business world.
"Any news for me?"
"Yes, boss. I wanted to reach out but you warned me to wait for you to reach out first."
"Yes, the enemies are drawing closer and I don't need them to have unnecessary access."
"There's a problem in the Council. Logan Gerard has been rallying behind you to be the head of the Council of godfathers in this city."
I laughed out loud. "That coward thinks that being the head of the Council is a walk in the park. He has no idea what it takes to be here."
"Do not underestimate him, he has about two people on his side."
"Who are those?"
"Reeves and Ferdinand."
"I am not surprised for Reeves but Ferdinand, that's what surprises me."
"He is trying to buy the Council over giving deals and claiming that he would reduce the cut given to the head of the council."
"I wish him luck, he has no idea what the money is used for."
