Chapter 107 - Chapter 107: Cleanup Duty

Chapter 107: Cleanup Duty

Hearing the murderous intent in Megan's words, Chris figured this whole ordeal must have really messed with Megan's head.

Otherwise, Megan—who'd been hardened by years in the Griffin Family—wouldn't be this pissed off.

Of course, it could also be because those bastards had put Megan's friends in danger.

But whatever the reason, since Megan wanted those people dead, Chris, as Megan's younger brother, naturally had to make it happen.

Instead of stupidly following Megan's method and killing them one by one, Chris found a computer, and then Stewie used some high-tech wizardry to instantly locate all personnel connected to the Human Skin Inn.

Looking at the personnel information displayed on the screen, even Megan—who had already wiped out one hotel—was stunned.

"Holy crap! There are three of these hotels in Paris alone? This is absolutely disgusting!"

As Stewie worked the keyboard, he quickly pulled up the relevant personnel files. Megan glanced over and found there were at least three thousand people involved.

"So many people—how long is it gonna take to kill them all?" Megan muttered in shock. Her entire summer vacation wouldn't be spent hunting down these perverts, would it?

Hearing Megan's exclamation, Stewie chuckled, "Hehe, your method is way too inefficient. Let Chris show you what real efficiency looks like!"

"Wait, aren't you a little young to be playing that strategy game?" Chris looked at Stewie in surprise; he didn't remember Stewie playing Stellaris.

"What?" Megan looked at Chris in confusion, not understanding what he was talking about.

Stewie's eyes went blank for a moment, then he suddenly caught on, "You idiot, that game won't come out for another dozen years! Think about the timeline!"

Reminded by Stewie, Chris racked his brain and remembered that Stellaris indeed hadn't been released yet at this point in time.

"My bad~, I don't play that game anyway; it's too much of a brain-burner."

Listening to the half-assed apology, Stewie wanted to keep arguing with Chris, but Megan snapped angrily, "Enough! What are you two even babbling about? I just want those guys dead right now, do you understand how I feel?!"

"…" Chris and Stewie exchanged glances and wisely shut their mouths.

Given how traumatized Megan was this time, it was better for them to behave, otherwise who knew what horrors they might unleash.

Chris quickly cross-referenced the personnel information and began applying his bad luck ability to them.

After finishing that, Chris gave Stewie a look, and Stewie, reading him perfectly, pulled up the nearest surveillance footage.

Megan saw the projection on the computer and immediately exclaimed, "It's that guy! He's the one who brought people to kidnap me and Patty!"

"Well, well, how convenient." Stewie chuckled lightly; he hadn't expected things to line up so perfectly.

As Stewie spoke, the surveillance footage began showing Mark's predicament.

He'd just rolled out of bed, was heading to the bathroom to clean up, and then stepped on the metal buckle of his carelessly tossed belt.

"Oh, fuck!"

Hearing the cursing coming from the computer speakers, Megan turned to Stewie, saying disdainfully, "This is what you call efficient?"

"Don't be impatient, keep watching." Stewie responded with a light laugh; he'd experienced Chris's ability before.

However, compared to having such bad luck happen to himself, Stewie preferred watching others suffer misfortune, especially the kind where they seemed to be targeted by the Grim Reaper himself.

At this moment, Chris also added, "The number of people this ability is applied to is huge, and the range is massive, so it needs a little time to ramp up."

Saying this, Chris actively adjusted the priority, preparing to kill this guy first to demonstrate for Megan.

And with Chris's manipulation, Mark—who had just been stabbed by the belt buckle—encountered bad luck again.

He limped to the bathroom, and just as he was about to take a leak, he saw the shower suddenly start spraying water. Then, in his panic, he slipped and fell to the ground.

With a thud, his head smacked the toilet bowl hard.

"Shit! Fuck!" Mark cursed furiously, then tried to stand up.

However, under Chris's bad luck ability, he was powerless to resist. His arm, which was braced on the side of the toilet, slipped, and his face slammed into the toilet bowl again.

Seeing that these few attempts hadn't killed the guy, Chris felt embarrassed.

He hadn't expected that the more people there were, the harder it would be for his ability to take effect immediately.

Chris, feeling annoyed, cranked up the priority again. Then, the lights in Mark's bathroom flickered, and the ceiling fixture directly fell off, with a live wire dropping straight into the toilet without missing a beat.

Then, electric sparks crackled in the dim bathroom. A moment later, Chris breathed a sigh of relief.

"Alright, that guy's toast. Over the next few months, all the guys involved in your kidnapping will die one by one. You can relax now."

As the number of people covered by the bad luck ability decreased, the remaining people would receive more concentrated misfortune.

Thus, in less than three months, these several thousand people would all die in "accidents," without exception.

And because of the initial spread of the bad luck ability, they wouldn't die immediately, but they would continue to be unlucky.

After explaining to Megan that they would suffer horribly before dying, Megan—who had been stone-faced—finally relaxed and gradually returned to her normal state.

Sensing Megan's intimidating aura gradually fading, Chris's tense nerves also relaxed.

However, Megan immediately noticed something fishy. She pointed at Stewie's computer and asked suspiciously, "There's no way there's surveillance cameras in that hotel bathroom—how did you manage to get him on screen?"

They didn't have the concept of deepfakes back then, but Megan, realizing something was off, still suspected that Stewie was working with Chris to mess with her.

After all, she didn't know that Chris also had the ability to curse people with bad luck.

At Megan's words, Chris also looked at Stewie in confusion.

He wasn't doubting that Stewie was pulling Megan's leg, but rather curious how Stewie achieved such long-distance surveillance.

Stared down by his sister and brother, the mentally somewhat unstable Stewie also began to get nervous, "Uh…"

"Are you bullshitting me?" Megan, noticing Stewie's odd behavior, revealed a fierce expression, and her previously faded intimidating aura erupted again.

The moment her demeanor shifted, Chris saw a hint of genuine fear in Stewie's eyes, and even he himself felt as if he was being watched by some unknowable entity. His powerful physique seemed to become insubstantial, and he couldn't muster any strength.

"Signal manipulation—this wristband of mine can control electromagnetic signals in the area."

Fortunately, this feeling lasted only a moment. As Stewie spoke to calm Megan down, Chris felt the world return to normal.
