Chapter 108 - Chapter 108: Double Shock

Chapter 108: Double Shock

Quahog Airport, Rhode Island.

"I really don't understand why you're so afraid of Megan. You should just stand up to her!"

Chris pulled Stewie and Brian toward the parking lot. Their Hummer was still parked there.

Hearing Chris's egging him on, Stewie sneered, "Ha, yeah right. God finally sealed Her away. I'm not looking to die by releasing Her. That wouldn't be easy to deal with."

Before he understood his own authority, he didn't want to face the Old God directly. He never wanted to see such a bizarre and disgusting scene again.

Chris's expression didn't change as he listened to Stewie's complaints, but his brain temporarily short-circuited.

The information in Stewie's words was too mind-blowing. Even God showed up in this story, and Megan's appearance was His doing.

Learning this information, Chris recalled his plans for this summer road trip and felt that he'd been way too reckless running around blindly like this.

Although he'd known for a long time that God existed in this world, and that Jesus occasionally showed up in Quahog.

But that was all learned from watching the show before crossing over. With the screen as a barrier, such understanding was ultimately not real enough.

And separated by who knows how many dimensions, Chris's previous understanding of God in this world wasn't comprehensive enough.

Therefore, in Chris's past impression, God in this world was just some old practical joker who liked pranks, not the kind of mastermind prone to conspiracy theories.

But now, learning from Stewie that Megan was actually the leftover remnant after God sealed an Old God, Chris couldn't help but re-examine the seemingly comedic information from the past.

After deepening his understanding of this world again, Chris tried to wake Brian up. This guy hadn't regained consciousness since Megan knocked him out yesterday.

At this moment, even with Chris's slaps, he was still out cold. Seeing this, Chris took out a vial of dragon blood potion and dripped a few drops into the dog's mouth.

"Huh, what's going on? Did you find Megan?"

Brian opened his eyes groggily. His memory was still stuck on when he was searching for Megan.

Chris shook him fully awake, briefly explained what happened while he was unconscious, and then said seriously, "Let's go home now. I'm not planning to continue this road trip."

Brian, who didn't understand, was about to ask for details, and then he noticed that the atmosphere in the car was kind of weird.

Stewie, with a gleam in his eyes, ready to watch the drama unfold, and Chris, who looked like he'd seen a ghost.

Judging from the strange behavior of these two, something he didn't know about must have happened during his blackout period.

At this time, Brian had already absorbed the dragon blood potion from earlier and was in peak condition, with both his body and intelligence at their maximum.

So, in just an instant, Brian made a decision and acted according to Chris's instructions without saying a word.

After some time, Brian drove the Hummer back home, and then they encountered a rather awkward scene.

"Oh, Peter! Your soft flesh makes me so ticklish, hahahaha!" Lois's squealing reached the garage. The two men and one dog exchanged glances, then wisely left the Griffin Family's house.

On the curb by the road, the three of them stared boredly across the street, enduring the sounds coming from the house behind them.

Until Chris couldn't take it anymore, he suddenly stood up.

Brian instantly cast a hopeful look, wishing he would turn around and rush into the house to stop that fat idiot from doing such lewd things to his goddess.

Unfortunately, Chris did not fulfill Brian's wish. He cleared his throat and said with slight embarrassment, "Ahem, Stewie, do you still remember that equipment you promised me? Can you make it for me now?"

"Oh, yeah, yeah, I'd be happy to make that gear for you right now." Stewie, equally embarrassed, quickly responded, then jumped directly into Chris's arms.

After catching Stewie, Chris lightly leaped up to the second-floor window, then opened it and climbed in.

Then the two brothers silently walked into Stewie's secret lab, temporarily escaping this place that made them extremely uncomfortable.

And Brian, ignored by Chris, listened at the wall for a while longer, then finally couldn't stand it anymore and left.

He planned to go to a bar to drink away his sorrows and find some way to vent his frustration.

Just as Brian passed Quagmire's house, Brian saw Quagmire staring at the Griffin Family's house with eyes blazing with fury.

His bloodshot, intense eyes stared directly at the tightly closed door of the Griffin Family's house, as if his mortal enemy was inside.

Brian, realizing there was someone who felt the same way, paused briefly. After a moment of hesitation, he opened his mouth and invited, "Hey, Quagmire, I'm heading to the bar. Wanna come?"

Quagmire looked at Brian with a blank expression. Listening to the sounds coming from the Griffin Family's house, he rubbed his stiff jaw and sighed, "Give me a sec."

So the two heartbroken and dejected guys went to the Drunken Clam together.

And Joe, witnessing this scene, stuffed a hoagie into his mouth and looked at Bonnie, who was doing prenatal exercises, with disappointment.

"Man, this is taking forever!"

Bonnie, feeling uncomfortable under Joe's gaze, turned back confused, "Joe, what's taking forever?"

Opening a bottle of Gatorade to replenish his energy, Joe replied flatly, "Mind your business. I'm heading to the station now."

Facing Joe's blunt response, Bonnie not only didn't feel anything was wrong, but instead said in an even gentler voice, "Okay, drive safe."

"I know!"

Joe replied impatiently, then left without another word.

He loved his current life way too much!

Stewie's Lab.

Chris and Stewie came here and didn't joke around as usual. Instead, they both fell silent.

Mainly, Lois and Peter's actions just now had taught them both a direct and profound truth.

That is, no matter how powerful they were, how intelligent, or what status and identity they achieved.

In the Griffin Family, they were still Peter and Lois's sons.

After realizing this, both Chris and Stewie fell silent.

Simply because it was truly absurd.

It was like the President dealing with national affairs one moment, and the next moment making out with some staffer's widow, grinning like an idiot.

It seemed particularly illogical, just really bizarre.

So, after a moment of silence, Chris, being the more mature one, took the initiative to break the awkwardness.

"Uh... I want to make a bolter gun first, preferably one with infinite ammo. Can you do that?"

Stewie, still mentally replaying Lois's screams and Peter's moronic laugh, was startled back to reality, then replied mechanically, "Oh, yeah, no problem."

Saying that, he walked to the workbench without another word and robotically began his work.
