"Even though I'm Earth's guardian deity and can keep watch over the entire planet, the scope of what you've asked for is far too broad. Even if I can find him, it won't be something I can do in a short time."
Kami Piccolo gave his answer in a gentle, roundabout way.
Hearing that, Gine immediately panicked.
They had finally made it all the way to Earth, only to realize they had no idea how to find her son.
She felt useless—but she also knew she didn't have any better options.
If Kakarot were old enough to take care of himself, if he had even a bit of combat strength, they could simply sweep across the planet and find him quickly.
In fact, if he learned they were here, he might even come looking on his own.
But he was still a baby. Yes, he'd grown to more than a year old, but at best he was only a little stronger than an average Earthling child.
The mood grew heavy. Kami Piccolo, afraid something unpredictable might happen, spoke up again:"Why don't you give me some time? If I can find him, all the better. If not, I can assist you with other search methods."
Spoken with such sincerity—anyone would accept it.
"Time isn't really a problem. We'll be staying on Earth for a while anyway… but of course, the sooner we find him, the better." Harry said, though the words felt a bit forced.
If he didn't speak up now, Gine's emotions were going to take the lead.
And that might very well cause her long-suppressed turmoil to explode.
Ever since Planet Vegeta's destruction, Gine had been carrying a crushing weight inside. If not for the sliver of hope keeping her going, she might have broken long ago.
Some things simply need time to heal—and not enough time had passed.
Hearing Harry's words, Kami Piccolo let out a quiet breath of relief. Gine looked at Harry and reluctantly accepted it too.
She didn't understand why Harry trusted this Namekian deity, but she knew he was a meticulous person. He wouldn't believe without a reason.
If she knew what was actually going on in Harry's head, she'd probably collapse.
That was exactly why Harry had been even more careful with every step he took.
"Since you'll be staying on Earth for now, and since I'll be helping search for the child named Kakarot, you may as well live here in the Lookout. It'll make communication easier for all of us." Kami Piccolo suddenly suggested.
He wanted them to stay at the Lookout.
Gine and Celari didn't think much of it—they simply assumed it was convenient.
Only Harry understood that this was Kami keeping them under supervision.
Letting them live here was clearly a way to prevent them from causing trouble on Earth… and a good chance to observe them more closely and gather information.
Of course, even if that was his plan, Harry didn't mind.
As a transmigrator, he knew Kami Piccolo's personality very well.
The old man would never trust them so easily. In the end, he was simply using his abilities to minimize potential disasters.
"Staying here for now is fine," Harry replied. "We don't have a destination anyway, and we don't know enough about Earth.
"Could you prepare some rooms for us? And maybe let us wash up first. We've been traveling in space for half a year—it's been hell."
Harry grumbled helplessly.
Kami Piccolo chuckled and turned to Mr. Popo. "This is a small matter. Popo, please get things ready. Consider it our welcome to them."
"Yes, Kami-sama. I'll prepare everything right away," Popo said respectfully before hurrying off.
…
An hour slipped by before they knew it.
After washing up, Harry, Gine, and Celari finally felt human again.
Then they tasted the food Popo prepared—and it was so good they nearly bit their tongues.
Gine and Celari were pleasantly shocked. They'd never eaten anything this delicious in their lives.
Harry, however, nearly burst into tears. Finally, real food.Food meant for human beings.
It made him recall the rich variety of dishes from his previous world. He'd been in this universe for six years, and this was the first time he'd tasted something even close.
After stuffing themselves, the three Saiyans lay around for quite a while before getting up to exercise a little.
Just some "light training."
To them, yes.
To Kami Piccolo and Popo, it was absolutely terrifying.
They moved so fast they were invisible to the naked eye. And those kicks and punches—if either Kami or Popo took a hit, they'd probably die instantly.
The existence of Saiyans completely shattered their worldview.
Monstrous.That was their shared thought.
…
When they finished training, Harry's group finally relaxed.
The warm energy rushing through their bodies could only be described with two words: pure bliss.
"Harry, you still haven't told me—why did you decide to trust this Namekian god?" Gine asked, sitting on the cool steps of the platform while watching Kami Piccolo and Popo slowly orbit the edge of the Lookout.
Harry didn't hesitate. He'd known she would ask eventually.
"It's not really 'trust,'" he said. "I just want to see what this Namekian—this so-called Earth god—is capable of. If he finds Kakarot, great. If he doesn't, we lose nothing.
"And judging by what we've seen so far, at least we aren't enemies. They don't seem like they'd lie to us."
Clear. Simple. Reasonable.
Gine nodded. "I hope he finds him. Though with how weak Earthlings are, Kakarot should be perfectly safe."
In the past two hours, Harry had already eased half of her worries.
He'd reminded her again and again that Earthlings had extremely low battle power. Even Kakarot, with a power level of only two, was about equal to an adult Earth man.
"Harry brother, Aunt Gine… do you really think just walking around the edge like that will help them find Kakarot?" Celari asked curiously.
She'd wanted to ask for a while.
"They can probably see things we can't. Since we decided to give him time, doubting him now would mean doubting ourselves." Harry laughed.
Celari stuck out her tongue, and Gine nodded slowly. "I just realized something—he didn't invite us to live here only to help find Kakarot, right? He's also worried we'll cause trouble on Earth. Am I right, Harry?"
Harry looked at her in surprise. She was getting sharper—she'd figured out Kami's intentions this quickly.
"That's what I think too. But it doesn't matter. If we really want to leave, he can't stop us anyway."
"..."
