Time slipped by in a blink.
Before they realized it, three full days had passed since Harry, Celari, and Gine arrived on Earth and took up temporary residence in the Temple of the Guardian.
Because of their agreement with the Guardian, they'd stayed on the temple grounds the entire time. Not once had they descended to the world below.
What sounded like a simple task turned out to be incredibly difficult.
According to the Earth's Guardian, Piccolo, the planet was bombarded by countless falling meteorites every day. Most burned up in the atmosphere, some landed harmlessly, and only a few ever hit the ground with any real impact.
Tracing back months of impact sites and fall records was an exhausting job—one that required perfectly combing through chance and luck. And on top of that, the target couldn't have been discovered or picked up by anyone on the ground.
In short, it was a gamble. If luck was on their side, they'd find it quickly. If not, it might as well be a needle in the ocean.
…
On the wide plaza at the front of the temple, Harry and Celari were sparring.
In terms of power, Celari wasn't even close to matching Harry. But the training helped her grow at an astonishing pace, so Harry never hesitated to keep sparring with her.
If he wasn't practicing with Celari, he was with Gine—sometimes even fighting both of them at once.
Honestly, it was mostly because he didn't have better partners. Otherwise he wouldn't be putting all his training weight on these two.
For Celari and Gine, the benefit was even greater. Take Celari, for example: after three days, she finally broke past the 1000 mark in battle power, reaching 1020.
All those years of pent-up potential had exploded open in just three days, and her growth wasn't slowing anytime soon.
Gine, on the other hand, grew more slowly—her numbers rising only ten or twenty points at a time, much like Harry's own gradual progression.
The moment their practice session ended, Celari flopped onto the ground and gasped for air.
This kind of completely unreserved, sprawled-out posture was so… Celari. Any other girl might've tried to act modest or composed, but she had zero filters.
Her straightforward, honest nature only made Harry find her more endearing. She felt easy to be around—no awkward tension, no boy-girl self-consciousness.
"Harry… you're seriously getting stronger and stronger… h-ha… ha…"
Even exhausted, she couldn't help praising him.
They were only six years old. Give her a little more time and Celari would definitely be bold enough to say something like, "Just what I'd expect from the man I've set my sights on."
"You're getting stronger too," Harry said with a grin. "In just three days your control's much better, and you've improved a lot in sensing ki."
Celari's already-flushed cheeks grew even redder at his praise, pride swelling in her chest.
Harry didn't notice how deep her feelings for him had grown—deep enough that even a simple compliment sent her imagination spinning.
After resting for a long while, Celari finally recovered enough to sit on the temple steps with Harry.
Their eyes drifted toward Gine, who stood quietly at the edge of the platform.
Over the past three days, even though they'd convinced her to calm down and wait, Gine's worry for Kakarot had only grown heavier.
It wasn't like worrying about Bardock or Raditz in the past. This time her child was somewhere on the same planet, yet she was powerless to reach him.
"Harry… do you think Aunt Gine might actually get sick if she keeps this up? It's been three days. What if that Namekian Guardian is just messing with us? We still don't have any news about Kakarot. What do we even do next?" Celari whispered, eyes full of concern.
Harry felt a pang in his chest.
After all these years together, seeing Gine like this made him want to tell her where Kakarot really was.
He was confident that if he guided Kakarot personally, he could prevent him from becoming an evil Saiyan. But he couldn't overcome the final hurdle in his own heart.
Someone guiding him didn't automatically mean Kakarot would grow into the Son Goku of the original timeline.
And without that Goku… what would become of everything?
Just a little longer, he thought silently. I'm sorry, Aunt Gine… but I have to let the original Son Goku be born.
After that, the future could change however it wanted.
"Since there's still no news, why don't we go down and take a look around Earth? We might find some clues," Harry suggested.
The moment he said that, Celari's eyes lit up.
"Yes! Finally! Harry, you have no idea—I'm going crazy stuck up here. It's nice and all, but there's nothing to do. Stay long enough and anyone would lose their mind."
Celari was simply not the type who could sit still.
Seeing her reaction, Harry chuckled, and together they walked over to Gine.
After talking for a while, even Gine was convinced. Instead of waiting helplessly, they might as well search for Kakarot themselves.
At least it gave her hope.
The Guardian, Piccolo, didn't stop them. They were going down to search for their family—if he tried to block that, it would only make things worse.
Besides, after three days of observing them, he had determined that although the three were powerful, they weren't ruthless villains. He'd built at least a basic level of trust.
But trust had its limits.
You could choose not to harm others, but you still had to stay cautious.
Piccolo kept his guard up.
For example… he had already found what they were looking for. He just hadn't said anything.
He wanted to observe their true nature a bit longer. Three days wasn't enough to reveal someone's real intentions. Letting them go down to Earth would help him see more clearly.
"Guardian, they've already gone below. Should I follow them?" Mr. Popo asked.
Even knowing Piccolo's plan, Popo still worried.
"No. Let them act freely for now. We'll watch how things unfold. You've worked hard these past few days—go rest," Piccolo said.
"…Very well, Guardian." Popo bowed but didn't leave.
Piccolo didn't mind. His attention shifted downward toward Earth.
He wasn't only watching the three Saiyans descending. His gaze drifted toward a remote patch of deep forest.
On Earth, that region had a name: Mount Paozu.
He had found the crashed spacepod. And he had found Kakarot.
He hid the truth because he couldn't afford to gamble.
Even though they were just one woman and two children, the power the three Saiyans possessed was terrifying.
If they reached Kakarot and then decided to act against Earth, the planet would be nothing more than a toy in their hands.
