Normally by the time that Victor was done having his fun with somebody. There was no hiding what lay beneath the charm that he liked to lure people in with. By that point the predator beneath had been revealed in all its glory, and it was not only the person he was involved with who saw it, but also their loved ones. It always gave him a sick sort of satisfaction seeing the loved ones as crushed as the person that he was dating.
But with Slater that had not happened.
Instead of Victor being the one to get tired of toying with her and throw her away like a used-up puppet
She had shown that she still had some bite, some spark in her. By being the one to leave him, (something that still chaffed even years later) she had taken something from him. His power… his control, and he wanted it back.
