For every question thrown their way, no matter how odd it was, he and Slater had had an answer, and to Deacon's knowledge they had answered correctly. But that did absolutely nothing to calm his nerves.
He and Slater had answered to the best of their abilities. But could it be that the questions were traps carefully worded so that they would miss the obvious and give answers that would ensnare them?
Deacon had no idea if that was the case, but it was making him incredibly uneasy. The longer that Paul and Erin toyed with them, the more antsy he became. They would go from answering a seemingly endless stream of questions to the table suddenly going silent. The other two just staring at them, and that was not helping matters at all.
