"He's in Paris."
Viktor's voice was steady and clear, the words confirmed what Marcus had already realized but desperately hadn't wanted to believe.
"James flew to Paris on a private charter at two forty-five this morning," Viktor continued, "ninety minutes after he left here. He used a Thorne Global corporate alias and arranged VIP customs clearance through someone with significant connections at Charles de Gaulle."
Marcus stared at Viktor's computer screen, which displayed the flight record.
"Someone was expecting him," Aria said quietly. "Someone who knew he was coming and had everything arranged in advance."
"My contact tracked James's car from the airport," Viktor said, "He was taken directly to a private residence. An upscale neighborhood with embassy buildings and luxury properties."
"Where is he now?" Marcus asked. "Is James still at that address?"
