"Why did you come to Paris?"
Catherine's voice was tense as she stood in the elegant living room of their Paris apartment, and she watched James set down his overnight bag near the door.
"You could have called, or I could have come to Switzerland," Catherine continued. "Flying here in the middle of the night seems risky."
James crossed to her and pulled her into his arms, and he held her tightly for a moment before responding.
"Because you need to stay in Paris and maintain the Mora Lee cover," James said quietly. "If you disappear now, right after Marcus mentions seeing someone in Paris who looks like Catherine, it confirms everything he suspects."
Catherine pulled back to look at his face, and worry showed clearly in her expression.
"Tell me exactly what happened," Catherine said. "What did Marcus say about the photo?"
