Viona's POV
The chill from the central air conditioner bit into my skin the moment my feet stepped inside the jet.
A beautiful flight attendant smiled warmly and offered to store my parka and scarf. She then guided me into the main cabin.
My children were already buzzing with excitement, pacing back and forth from the passenger seats to the sofa, peering out the windows in awe.
The scent of leather, wood, and quiet luxury filled my senses as I walked toward Roey, who was perched on a seat, wide-eyed, staring out the window.
I stroked the back of his head down to his back as both his hands pressed flat against the glass, looking at the wing outside.
"Mommy, is this a plane? Why is it different from the one in the book? Why aren't there other people? There are so many empty seats," Roey asked, his forehead still glued to the window as he watched the propeller on the wing spin.
I pressed my lips into a faint smile. I'm just as surprised as you are, Roey.
