Shadow Valley Safe House, Geneva - Tuesday Evening, 9:34 PM
Emily stood at the window of her room, looking out over Geneva's glittering lights. The city was beautiful at night....elegant, peaceful, completely unaware that tomorrow morning, everything would change.
Behind her, she heard the door open quietly. Timothy's footsteps were familiar now....measured, confident, the sound of a man who owned every space he entered.
"You should be resting," Timothy said softly, coming to stand beside her. "Tomorrow is going to be the longest day of your life."
"I can't sleep," Emily admitted. "Every time I close my eyes, I see tomorrow. The cameras. The questions. The moment I say the words 'I am Princess Emily of Norvale' out loud to the entire world."
Timothy wrapped his arms around her from behind, pulling her against his chest. "Are you afraid?"
