He was tall.....Emily always forgot exactly how tall until she saw him standing next to other men. He wore a perfectly tailored charcoal suit that probably cost more than Benjamin's car. His expression was neutral, almost pleasant. But his eyes were cold. Absolutely cold.
And when he looked at Benjamin's hand reaching toward Emily, something terrifying flickered across his face.
"I suggest," Timothy said quietly, his voice carrying despite the low volume, "that you remove your hand. Now."
Benjamin froze, his hand hovering inches from Emily's arm. He looked at Timothy, seemed to truly see him for the first time, and went pale.
"Mr. Blackwood," Benjamin stammered. "I was just...I wanted to talk to Emily about..."
