The drive away from campus was quiet at first. Ming Li sat in the front passenger seat, still vibrating with energy from the confrontation. Emily sat beside Timothy in the back, processing what had just happened.
"Sister Emily," Ming Li finally said, turning around to look at her, "that was so satisfying! Did you see his face when Boss threatened him? He looked like he was going to faint!
"He definitely understood the message," Emily agreed.
"Boss was so scary!" Ming Li continued enthusiastically. "Like, I've seen Boss be intimidating before. But that was next-level! That was 'I will destroy your entire existence' scary!
"Ming Li," Sebastian said from the driver's seat, amusement in his voice, "perhaps we could tone down the enthusiasm"
"But boss was protecting Sister Emily!" Ming Li protested.
Timothy's lips twitched.
"Fine," Ming Li sighed. "But just so you know, it was very impressive! Professional quality threatening! Ten out of ten! Would witness again!"
