The room was quiet, as I stared into her innocent golden eyes.
"An abyss? What do you mean?" I asked, and just then, the door opened with Athie and Natalie talking, eating snacks.
"...he just disappeared," Natalie was saying, while Athie roared into her weird laughter.
"Guys, Erastus is Ceci's Mortal combat teacher," Heart said, without even waiting for them to settle. Natalia and Athena looked at each other before looking at me.
"Whatever you do, just don't think of falling in love with him," Natalie said, her blue ponytail swinging as she climbed atop her bed, which was over mine.
"Why?" I asked, sounding nearly exhausted. At least, if they gave me reasons, then it wouldn't happen. Although I never said I was planning to fall for him. He really wasn't my type. Not since he tried to murder me.
