Chapter 200 - This entire process took only half a month.

One could not help but sigh—before alien black technology, the so-called "stubborn" waste of Earth was nothing at all. Under that irradiation beam, it was reduced to nothingness in mere minutes.

Especially on the seabed, the machines demonstrated an astonishing ability: individually identifying pollutants, then degrading them without affecting the surrounding seawater.

That automatic screening function was the most remarkable of all.

As the contamination gradually faded, the ocean's original clarity was revealed once more.

The island, too, was formally absorbed into the Earth Federation.

By perfectly resolving this global crisis, Xu Dan once again became the center of worldwide attention.

But that was nothing.

What came next was even more exhilarating.

The global energy reform.

At the previous Earth Alliance meeting, every nation had received corresponding directives.

In the eyes of many, even if no one acted greedily, Antarctic Enterprises would still require a long time to manufacture everything. This time, at the very least, it would likely be calculated in years.

Yet in less than a month, Xu Dan delivered the first batch of Antarctic reactors.

Though each country received only one unit, that single reactor was enough to make them ecstatic.

Who among national leaders did not know of Iron Man? Who had not paid attention to his super weapon powered by a single reactor?

Unfortunately, the Ark Reactor was a technological barrier none of them could overcome.

But now, for a reasonable price, Xu Dan had sold them a reactor even more powerful than the Ark Reactor.

For a nation, money was nothing.

Technology was king.

As for how that technology would be used—that was up to each country to decide.

Some, heeding Xu Dan's subtle guidance and persuasion, used it properly for urban energy supply.

But there were always those who harbored their own ambitions.

For example—a certain small country.

Inside a military base, a slightly stout leader stood with his hands behind his back, gazing calmly at the people before him.

"I have secured the reactor for you. We have also purchased the exoskeleton equipment from Antarctic Military Industries. Now tell me—how long will it take to produce that kind of equipment?"

A man in an old military uniform stepped forward. "Leader, we will make it as quickly as possible."

"As quickly as possible? How fast is that?"

"Well… we cannot give a precise time. Antarctic Military Industries left safeguards in place…"

"What safeguards? We are not provoking trouble. On the contrary—we are working for peace!"

Silence fell over the room.

After the slightly stout leader left, the researchers finally exhaled in relief.

But that relief quickly turned into heavy sighs.

"What should we do? With our current technology, it will take at least a year and a half to meet the Leader's requirements. And everyone understands what he means. If he truly had the patience to wait that long… heh…"

Embarrassment filled the room. They had worked here for years. They knew their leader's temperament well.

His vision was ambitious, but the country's technological foundation was limited. Even reaching the global average had relied heavily on Antarctic Enterprises' assistance.

"Yes… what can we do?" Even the old man in the worn uniform sighed deeply.

Not everyone in the world was Xu Dan—capable of creating world-shaking innovations without ideal infrastructure.

One legend was enough for the world.

He himself had long reached retirement age, yet the next generation lacked sufficient strength. He could only drag his aging body back into the laboratory, continuing his work.

Perhaps one day he would collapse here.

Perhaps only then would the leader understand that a nation must first grow steadily—following the progress of enterprises like Antarctica—before attempting innovation of its own.

Instead of exhausting the people's lifeblood in reckless haste, only to discover endless flaws in the end.

Just as everyone felt lost, a young researcher suddenly stood up.

"Teacher… I have an idea. I'm not sure whether I should say it."

The old man turned toward him. This was his youngest student.

"What idea? Stop hesitating. If you have something to say, say it."

His tone was calm, almost indifferent. Clearly, he had little expectation of the young man. Modern youth were notorious for seeking shortcuts.

And this was not an occasion for shortcuts. This was a mission personally assigned by the Leader.

Yet the young man spoke confidently.

"Teacher, we can enter a virtual world. Time there flows at three times the speed of the real world. That means three days pass inside the virtual world, while only one day passes in reality. A year in the virtual world equals four months outside."

"Virtual world?" The old man sneered. "You mean those games you're always playing?"

The older generation generally held deep prejudice against online games of any kind.

In their eyes, games corrupted youth and prevented the emergence of real talent.

That was why the old man's feelings toward Antarctic Enterprises were complicated—both admiration and resentment.

But the young man did not waver.

"Teacher, yes, it is the game I play. But I'm not talking about playing casually—I'm serious. Inside the game, the world is nearly identical to reality, except the technological level is far beyond ours. If we all enter together and use the resources there—along with the accelerated time—it would be far more efficient than sitting here brainstorming blindly. We could complete the Leader's task much sooner."

"Enough! Are you planning to solve national defense problems by playing a game?"

Faced with the rebuke, the young man remained stubbornly firm.

"Teacher, I've heard that 'Jedi' isn't merely a virtual game—it's practically a virtual world. Anyone who has played it knows how real it feels. It isn't a traditional game at all. Every grain of sand inside is indistinguishable from reality. It's terrifyingly realistic."

What he truly meant was this:

In that virtual world, anything was possible.

Because he had tried it himself.
