Chapter 199 - “This… It is what the Master wants.”

The Red Queen muttered, a trace of sourness in her voice.

Whenever there were things she could not help Xu Dan with, other beings would step in to assist him. As for what that existence was, the Red Queen did not know. And if Xu Dan did not tell her personally, she had no authority to ask.

"Red Queen, analyze it—can this thing be mass-produced?" Xu Dan rolled up his sleeves again as he spoke.

The Red Queen pouted slightly. "Master, you've already placed the finished product in front of me. Do I really need to say more? … Of course it's impossible! My preliminary scan shows that this device contains materials that do not exist on Earth. Only after acquiring the corresponding materials could we attempt—well, attempt—to manufacture it."

"Materials? That's simple."

In the system's points mall, there was no shortage of anything. Purchasing raw materials alone would even be cheaper.

"If I provide you with all the materials, how long would it take to replicate one?" Xu Dan asked.

"One day," the Red Queen replied—an astonishing answer.

This device surpassed much of Earth's current technological machinery. It undoubtedly contained countless intricate settings, perhaps even components invisible to the naked eye. Yet the Red Queen could replicate it within a single day.

It had indeed been a wise decision to purchase the Red Queen in the beginning.

Her replication capability—number one in the world.

Xu Dan now somewhat understood why Tony cherished Jarvis so deeply.

Many tasks that required immense effort from humans could be handled effortlessly by artificial intelligence, simply by following programmed instructions and executing control.

Ten days later.

Over what had once been the island nation's territory, a mothership slowly approached.

The raging waves had been merciless. After swallowing the island nation, they had receded just as quickly—like a love affair without remorse.

What remained was nothing but ruins and foul seawater.

Standing on the deck, Xu Dan could already smell the nauseating stench.

And in such an environment, workers from nations around the world had labored continuously for an extended period of time.

Even so, they had been unable to clear away the debris here.

If the source continued unchecked, the pollution would persist—and spread.

"Mr. Xu, can these machines truly enter the sea? I don't think it looks very safe." An admiral voiced his concern.

For Huaxia to dispatch someone of such rank to accompany a businessman like Xu Dan was a testament to the importance they placed on the matter.

A great nation worthy of its vision.

A nation that bore the responsibilities befitting a great power.

Only such a country could become the backbone of the Earth Alliance's future.

Xu Dan pulled on his hood and replied calmly, "Rest assured. If these machines couldn't operate underwater, I wouldn't have brought them here."

The so-called machines were ultra-low-level degradation irradiation photoreplicators produced by the Red Queen—not the original prototype itself.

It had taken the Red Queen ten days to produce this batch. At first, she could only make one per day, but as she grew more proficient, the production speed increased dramatically.

Now, displayed neatly on the mothership's deck, were exactly thirty machines.

For pollution spanning such a vast area, thirty units were nothing more than a drop in the ocean.

But there was no helping it.

Those two reckless nations had drowned the island country without a second thought.

They hadn't considered the consequences at all.

It might have been better if they had simply bombed it outright.

Ahem.

Now that things had reached this point, they could only salvage what they could.

National salvage teams had already removed large debris from the area. What remained were the most difficult fragments to deal with.

"Then…" The admiral hesitated. He had fought countless hard battles in his life, but he had never seen a machine riddled with exposed seams like this claim to be seawater-proof.

Wouldn't it short-circuit the moment seawater touched it?

However, this was alien-derived technology—even the materials were not of Earth. Naturally, Earth's seawater posed no threat.

Xu Dan lowered his hood fully. The pungent odor in his nose gradually faded, replaced by a minty freshness.

The workers here had evidently figured something out. Ordinary fragrances struggled to mask such foul smells, but mint—sharp and stimulating—proved effective.

"Haha, don't worry. I'll have them dive now."

He carried a dedicated communicator directly linked to the Red Queen. No matter where on Earth he stood, she could capture the frequency.

Control of the machines had been entirely handed over to her.

Upon hearing Xu Dan's command, the machines seemed to activate a switch. They shuffled toward the edge of the deck automatically—

Then plopped into the sea.

Their movements were clumsy, almost comical.

Damn it. When I get back, I'm upgrading these things. This appearance is embarrassing.

It was not just the bulky shape. Even the diving motion was awkward.

But to the old general, it was different. Watching the machines dive, a smile spread across his face.

"Haha, they look like penguins!"

"That's right! Antarctica is home to penguins!" Xu Dan replied stiffly.

More foolish than penguins, really.

Once submerged, there was no malfunction. Xu Dan had never worried; the Red Queen had already conducted thorough testing.

These machines were designed specifically for pollution cleanup. They were meant to endure all kinds of harsh environments. Diving was one of the easier challenges.

After they descended, the Red Queen projected live footage.

The entire sea had turned a strange dark green—like crushed tea leaves swirling in a glass of water.

All of it was debris left behind after the tsunami struck the island nation.

Large pieces of trash were easy to remove. But these tiny fragments—if handled by manpower alone—would likely require over a decade to clean.

Irradiation activated.

Red light suddenly radiated outward from each machine. Objects struck by it emitted a faint blue glow.

The machines actually possessed a screening function. The red light performed identification. The true decomposition beam was invisible to the naked eye.

As the red beams spread, the waters around the mothership were bathed in crimson, transforming the sea into something out of a horror film.

"Oh, this is quite impressive!" the admiral remarked appreciatively.

Xu Dan nodded silently. Based on the data feedback from the Red Queen, this sea had truly reached an extreme level of contamination.

An average person would likely vomit at the sight—or even the smell—of it.

Beyond ordinary debris, there were corpses. And fish drawn by the scent of death. The fish themselves were poisoned as well.

Below the surface, it was complete chaos.

For the divers who had worked here before, it must have been pure suffering.
