Chapter 198 - “That’s the sales volume of a major smartphone brand!”

"Isn't that number a bit excessive?" Xu Dan asked.

"Is Master worried about something?" The Red Queen tilted her head slightly, puzzled. "We fully possess this capability. With Antarctic Technology's current scale, producing 100,000 units a month is merely a standard model output."

Xu Dan drew a deep breath. Without realizing it, Antarctic Technology had grown to such a scale.

It had once been nothing more than a department under a game company.

But thinking about it carefully, it made sense. Like Antarctic Military Industries, Antarctic Technology specialized in black technology on a global level. Antarctic Military Industries had practically monopolized the military sector, while Antarctic Technology held an absolute advantage in civilian science and technology worldwide.

Simply put, one focused on the official sector, the other on the civilian.

There was only one official market per country—but the civilian economy, though fragmented, was vast in sheer numbers.

"Oh. I almost forgot—this is my company too."

"Master…" The Red Queen looked somewhat helpless. Xu Dan had handed Antarctic Technology entirely over to her management and had become a complete hands-off boss. Operating twenty-four hours a day—if she were human, she would have long since collapsed from exhaustion.

And yet he only just remembered.

Seeing the faintly resentful expression on her face, Xu Dan smiled awkwardly and stopped posturing. "By the way, Red Queen, I came today to see if we have any technical data on pollution treatment."

"Pollution treatment?"

The Red Queen immediately refocused. Deep underground, the super servers began running at high speed. Soon she replied, "Antarctic Technology has collected all global technological data, including that of the Qitari civilization. There is indeed a large amount of information related to pollution treatment."

Back when the Qitari battleship had appeared, the Red Queen had hijacked one of its intelligent cores. Beyond the ship's onboard technology, it had provided an enormous database of civilizational knowledge.

It was no exaggeration to say that the entire Qitari civilization had been thoroughly dissected.

However, knowledge piled up was like a mountain—one could only digest it bite by bite. It was impossible to absorb everything at once.

Thus, although Antarctic Technology was updating daily—transforming technologies into products for humanity—there were still vast amounts of data sealed within the electronic archives.

Xu Dan thought for a moment. "What I need isn't conventional technology. You've seen Earth's pollution situation. Current methods simply aren't powerful enough."

"What kind of solution does Master want?"

"For example, something that directly degrades waste into its smallest molecular state and returns it to its origin," Xu Dan said, rolling up his sleeves as he spoke.

A trace of helplessness appeared on the Red Queen's small face. She spread her hands. "Such technology does exist. But we cannot achieve it at present."

"Hiss… another limitation of technological level…" Xu Dan folded his arms, frowning deeply.

At that moment, he recalled when he had created The King of Fighters in a small workshop. Back then, technological limitations had also existed—but with the system's support, he had still managed to produce a product that transcended its era.

Some might not understand the shock of creating something far ahead of its time under constrained conditions.

Imagine—alone in the 1970s, you single-handedly invent a smartphone.

That was the level of impact.

But now that Antarctic Enterprise had reached this stage, no matter what breakthrough emerged, others would simply deem it "reasonable." After all, wasn't Antarctic Technology synonymous with black tech?

"System…"

"Wait—wasn't there a type of analysis beam in StarCraft's space fleet that could directly degrade matter into its smallest units?"

The thought struck him suddenly.

He immediately opened the system's Points Mall and began searching through the product listings. Under the StarCraft category were countless high-level sci-fi technologies—but the richness of the inventory was matched only by the terrifying length of the price tags.

Every eye-catching item carried at least eight digits in points.

Even with his current point-earning capabilities—virtual games, Time Gem advantages—he dared not squander recklessly. Some items were priced in the billions.

No matter how many points he had, they could not be wasted carelessly.

Scrolling rapidly, he soon found the item he vaguely remembered.

[Super Degradable Irradiation Beam]: 20E points

Just an auxiliary technology, yet it required such an astronomical price. The system truly was ruthless.

"System, can this technology be weakened? I only need something to degrade Earth's garbage. I'm not taking it into space for combat," he asked internally.

"..."

"System?"

"..."

Beep!

A crisp sound rang in his mind. Immediately, a pop-up appeared in the Points Mall:

[Ultra-Low Degradation Irradiation Beam]

And the price?

Only five digits.

To Xu Dan—now relatively "wealthy"—this was practically a gift from heaven.

Without hesitation, he clicked purchase.

"Ultra-low level? You're really looking down on us," he muttered, though inwardly delighted.

From the Red Queen's perspective, Xu Dan had merely frozen briefly before suddenly smiling—as if the earlier dilemma had vanished.

"Master?"

"Red Queen, I have a solution."

The Ultra-Low Degradation Irradiation Beam was not theoretical technology but a complete product—similar to a small emitter device.

Xu Dan quickly entered Antarctic Technology's development lab, retrieved the device from system storage, and placed it on the ground.

It resembled a crawler-type robot. At its front extended a long barrel—presumably the emitter from which the beam would be projected.

"Master, where did this come from?" The Red Queen's holographic figure appeared beside him once again.

Within Antarctic Technology Company, she was omnipresent.

"Don't worry about that. Let's test how it works."

"Yes, Master."

Xu Dan dragged a trash bin from the development room and placed it in front of the irradiator. Then he activated the device.

A cone-shaped beam of light shot forward.

Within the illuminated area, the objects emitted a faint blue glow. It was impossible to see exactly what was happening—but the trash bin and its contents were rapidly dissipating.

Xu Dan had no intention of testing it on himself. Judging from the rate of degradation, anything caught within that beam would likely vanish into nothingness within seconds.

And who would take responsibility for irradiating one's own body?
