Ulysses Klaue had already been captured, so the vibranium in Klaue's possession naturally had to be confiscated as well.
Xu Dan already had certain plans for this batch of vibranium.
For now, it would be set aside. Later, when negotiations with Wakanda began, if the other party did not bring it up, then it would be returned directly. If they did mention it, then it could also be taken out as a bargaining chip.
When it came to negotiations like this, the more leverage one had, the better.
At present, the thief Ulysses Klaue was already firmly in his grasp.
Two key issues remained.
The black problem was a centuries-old issue. Xu Dan personally did not have a good impression of black people.
But for the sake of the overall plan, some investment was unavoidable.
Money operations were extremely powerful in this world—and in many cases, the power of money even surpassed combat strength and authority.
That was human nature.
Then there was the final issue: energy.
How could Wakanda's deep-seated sense of crisis be resolved?
That sense of crisis came partly from the outside world—but also from within.
Specifically, vibranium consumption.
With the progress of science and technology and continuous population growth, the consumption of vibranium resources was also accelerating.
If this continued, Wakanda would inevitably exhaust its vibranium reserves in less than a hundred years.
When that happened, would Wakanda be reduced to the same war-torn battlefield as the outside world?
That was the last thing the people of Wakanda wanted to see.
Therefore, if this issue was to be resolved, it seemed necessary to begin with energy—by providing Wakanda with a new power source, such as the arc reactor.
Although the outside world was not as technologically advanced as Wakanda, there were always exceptions. Tony Stark's arc reactor was one such anomaly.
The last time Xu Dan helped Tony discover a new element, he had secretly backed up a copy himself.
It was said that this substance was synonymous with the Cosmic Cube—an elemental equivalent.
A single arc reactor could drive Tony's Iron Man suit into fierce combat. The suit was a voracious consumer of electricity, and the energy expenditure after a single battle was terrifying.
That was just one arc reactor.
So what about hundreds of arc reactors?
Teach the method to Black Panther's sister, and she should be fully capable of developing it herself.
The only problem was that this approach was unfair to Tony.
After all, it was originally his technology. Even though it couldn't be patented or copyrighted, it was still something left behind by his father.
Handing it over to Wakanda like this felt somewhat uncomfortable.
But the world had always worked this way—everything was put to use wherever it could be.
There was no helping it.
Once the virtual game launched worldwide, he would compensate Tony then.
Three major gifts were placed at the gate, and Wakanda's king was selected.
The current king was not the Black Panther himself, but the Black Panther's father.
Of course, his father had once been the "Black Panther."
Now, for political reasons, the mantle of the Panther had been passed on to T'Challa.
King T'Chaka and Black Panther T'Challa welcomed Xu Dan together at the border.
He was the first person in many years whom they were willing to allow entry into the true Wakanda.
Stepping into real Wakanda was like passing through a doorway—one's vision suddenly opened wide.
Outside the gate lay a backward agricultural nation.
Inside the gate was a future world depicted countless times in movies.
If New York's urban development stood at the pinnacle of the modern world, then Wakanda's royal capital was at least a century ahead.
Even the architecture itself radiated technological beauty—let alone the spacecraft parked in the distance.
If those were taken into account, Wakanda could rival some highly advanced alien civilizations.
Along the central avenue stood bald female guards on both sides. Though their appearances were not particularly striking, their combat strength was unquestionably far superior to the so-called special forces of other nations.
The spear-like weapons in their hands alone could easily crush modern firearms.
Looking at Wakanda—so utterly different from the outside world—Xu Dan couldn't help but think of his own company.
Relying on his company's capabilities, how long would it take before he could influence the outside world to reach Wakanda's current technological level?
"I can't imagine that such a place once existed on Earth. New York was called the greatest city in the world—but now it seems that its perspective is still somewhat limited," Xu Dan said politely.
Even though he had long known about Wakanda's secrets, witnessing it firsthand was still deeply shocking.
Who would have thought that a closed-off nation could develop to such an extent?
King T'Chaka smiled. This benevolent elder was, in truth, an exceptional leader.
Despite the outside world's perception of Wakanda as merely a backward agricultural country, he had still secured a certain standing in international affairs through sheer diplomatic skill.
"Mr. Xu Dan, the people of Wakanda have lived and developed here for generations. If outsiders were to turn their attention toward waging war here, things would be very different."
"It would indeed be different, King T'Chaka," Xu Dan replied.
Wakanda had relied on the universal metal vibranium—living off the land—to reach its current prosperity.
What did the outside world rely on? Eating dirt scraped from the mountains?
Most conflicts were never truly about resources.
T'Chaka nodded in agreement. He smiled again, glanced at the bustling Wakandan citizens on the street, and suddenly said:
"I have some understanding of Mr. Xu Dan's intentions. Unfortunately, Wakanda has an iron rule that has existed for many years—vibranium must never flow into the outside world. Ulysses Klaue is a prime example."
Ulysses Klaue was indeed an example. He had stolen vibranium—and now he was dead.
What T'Chaka did not add was that his own younger brother had once attempted something similar—and he had personally put an end to it.
Even the Black Panther himself did not know about this matter, and outsiders certainly never would.
Even if Xu Dan knew, he would not say it aloud.
Xu Dan stared at a distant Black Panther statue for a long time.
It was said that Wakanda had once been plagued by endless wars, until the emergence of the Black Panther changed everything.
Thus, the Wakandan people revered the panther so deeply that even their national flag bore the image of a leopard's head.
"Your Majesty knows the outside world better than I do," Xu Dan said calmly. "My sincerity should already be sufficient—otherwise, you wouldn't have allowed me inside, would you?"
King T'Chaka smiled and nodded.
Xu Dan continued, "I understand your concerns. Rest assured—when it comes to secrecy, I believe I am unmatched in this world."
His game data packs had achieved that level of encryption; he was fully confident in saying so.
T'Chaka smiled, his eyes filled with appreciation.
"To possess such a mindset—you truly deserve to be the Xu Dan revered by the outside world."
"You know me?"
"If one doesn't understand, one cannot rule," T'Chaka replied meaningfully. "By the way, there is something that greatly puzzles me—the incident in New Mexico…"
The events in New Mexico had been astonishing, and the United States had done an excellent job sealing the information.
However, Wakanda's intelligence network reached everywhere. The king's knowledge of it was only natural.
Especially when it involved that steel giant.
