Chapter 220 - Chapter 190: The Tour of Inspection

Lorin's heart was collapsing; this madman actually wanted her to kiss him!

A faint moan came from the hallway. Those people were indeed still alive, but all were gravely injured. Clearly, he was the one who wounded them, yet it seemed like sparing them was some sort of favor.

However... she was an agent, although a desk job, still an agent.

Since the enemy seemed to fancy her looks, why not make use of it.....

"Then take off your helmet, or how else am I supposed to kiss you?"

Lorin smoothed her blonde hair, trying her best to calm her heartbeat, revealing a coquettish smile. Her red lips parted slightly as she leaned slightly on the cold armor.

"This armor's material is unknown, so are the weapons. Keep gathering intelligence, Lorin, you can do it..."

Her eyes shifted slightly, contemplating her plan.

In fact, Su Ming was just making a casual remark; he had anticipated her reaction. Most female agents have received seduction training, but he had other important matters to attend to. He'd play with Little Rose another time.

"Sorry, wrong person. You're not Agent Carter; I'm here for her. Please step aside..."

Su Ming reached out and gently moved her to the side, then unsheathed his sword and sliced open the laboratory door, walking through without looking back.

Lorin: "!!!"

Could it be because both she and Peggy were British, he misidentified her?! But she was blonde, and Peggy was brunette, what a flimsy excuse?!

Moreover, how was she any less than Peggy? She was slimmer and taller. Don't Americans love blondes? She even had a military rank, albeit just a sergeant, but Peggy wasn't even there; she was just Agent 13.

Failure, her first attempted seduction ended in failure...

Lorin collapsed limply to the side, finding herself without the courage to pursue. The voice from beneath the mask was like a roar from Hell, its chilling tone was self-evident.

Su Ming passed through the gaping door and headed directly to the observation room beside it.

Inside, high-ranking officials were huddled together. These politicians were utterly useless on the battlefield.

Nearby, several large MPs wearing white helmets fired fiercely at Su Ming, but the big shots in the observation room could only watch helplessly as the person in black and yellow armor casually approached them and nonchalantly knocked the MPs down, tossing them like toys over ten meters away into a heap.

This made their breathing difficult and they involuntarily swallowed their saliva.

The thin door of the observation room could not hold this person back.

Among the crowd, only Colonel Philip and Agent Carter seemed relatively calm, but they had no solution at the moment. They were conducting a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Super Soldier, while someone else's Super Soldier was already at their door!

However, the lab staff below did not notice the commotion above. Steve's experimental pod not only emitted a strong light but also produced a piercing sound, capturing the attention of the professors.

Su Ming glanced at their situation; through the tactical goggles on his helmet, he saw the radiation level on the experiment platform showing only at 60%.

He could afford to spend some time bonding with these spectators.

"Bang!"

He kicked open the door of the observation room, scaring everyone into a shiver, and immediately glanced around to count the people in attendance.

Not bad, similar to the movie universe.

"Who here is Mr. Fred Crimson from the 'Federal Government'?"

A hoarse voice emerged from beneath his mask.

Nobody stepped forward to answer to the name Fred, but others around him betrayed him. Instantly, the crowd distanced itself slightly, isolating him.

The young man with glasses turned pale. The situation had changed too drastically, and the task given to him by the Empire seemed impossible to complete...

"De..."

"Pa!"

Before he could say anything, Su Ming blew his head off with a handgun. A .45 bullet has always been reliable; if you can precisely control the shooting angle, it can make a person's head explode like a watermelon every time.

This German had a bomb on him and a remote control in his hand, so he couldn't stay. The people around him were still of use.

Seeing them scream in horror as their bodies were splattered with brain matter and blood, Su Ming fired a few more shots at the ceiling to signal them to be quiet.

"Colonel Philip, please keep your hands away from the weapons, or I will detonate a grenade right here."

Su Ming, seeing Philip and Carter looking like they were plotting something, immediately reminded them; the light from below grew stronger, as if they planned to launch a sneak attack on him.

Unfortunately, there were plenty of high-ranking hostages here. Without Su Ming's supervision, the fat politicians glared at Colonel Philip and Peggy with murderous looks.

"Colonel, don't resist!"

"Yes, Philip, don't get us killed."

"Damn it, I order you to lay down your arms!"

Colonel Philip sighed helplessly, being a soldier often meant being unable to act freely, where the hell had Fury run off to?

He raised his hands, indicating his surrender, while observing the masked man in front of him. The unique one-eyed mask was very distinct.

"Who are you?"

Su Ming waved the gun, signaling everyone to stand against the wall, leaving only the Colonel and Carter.

"Mercenary, Deathstroke."

Upon hearing this name, Colonel Philip finally connected the person before him with the urban legends he had heard. He wasn't a New Yorker, but he'd heard about the popular urban legends there.

Legends spoke of a demon lurking in the New York nights, wearing black and yellow armor, stalking the streets and alleys in search of sacrifices.

Those chosen by him would suffer greatly, their souls torn into fragments and dragged to Hell.

Now, this demon stood alive before them.

But if he was a Mercenary, perhaps money could solve the issue. SSS didn't have much, but the organization's resources must surpass personal wealth, no doubt.

"What do you want?" Philip probed.

"What do you think? I'm after the same target as the seventy lying in the street outside; what else could it be for?"

Su Ming amusedly observed him; the Strategic Science Corps was riddled with espionage, yet he seemed oblivious.

He was a competent soldier but unfit as the leader of an intelligence agency; spy warfare was beyond his capacity.

"The serum is impossible to give you, and it seems you don't need it anyway. We can offer you double your fee if you identify your employer and leave."

Carter cut in immediately, a resolute expression on her face. She knew many adversaries desired the SSS serum, but it could never fall into the wrong hands.

Such a substance was too perilous; if controlled by a mad dictator, it would endanger all of humanity.

Su Ming nodded, as if agreeing with her: "You indeed should pay because your midst has been infiltrated by a German agent, whom I just killed."

"What?"

The most surprised wasn't Philip or Carter but the senator who accompanied the young man.

He wasn't familiar with the young man; he only heard he was a Washington official and, coincidentally, also coming here, so they traveled together.

But now, the situation had changed. If anyone found out he had associated with Nazi, the consequences would inevitably affect him, jeopardizing his future political career.
