If Issho hadn't caught him, he would've been crushed on impact.
"I surrender," Issho said calmly, honoring their agreement.
"No," Netero replied, shaking his head. "I lost."
Issho was still hovering.
Still able to fight.
Netero couldn't even stand.
The outcome was obvious.
Yet Netero wasn't unhappy.
He had gotten what he wanted.
A battle like this.
Win or lose didn't matter.
And he truly had lost.
There was no shame in that.
After the battle ended, Emiya flew his group down.
They landed on the ruined ground.
After a brief rest, Netero recovered enough strength to stand.
He laughed heartily.
"President, are you alright?" Menchi asked with concern.
"I'm just exhausted," Netero replied cheerfully. "A few days of rest will fix that."
Menchi relaxed.
Then she looked at the devastated landscape.
"I really didn't expect you to be this strong, President."
"The truly strong one is Issho-san," Netero said honestly.
Issho shook his head. "I didn't win."
His meteor was powerful.
But if Netero had chosen to evade instead of confronting it, the battle could've continued.
In a real life-and-death fight, Netero wouldn't have taken it head-on.
The result would've been uncertain.
That was why Issho didn't claim victory.
Netero smiled but didn't argue.
Instead, he asked Emiya to send them back.
After a battle like that, he wanted rest.
Emiya agreed.
They returned to the hotel.
Netero said a few words, then left with his hands behind his back.
Menchi followed after him.
Only Emiya's group remained.
Emiya looked around.
"Alright. Let's head out too."
He had seen Heaven's Arena.
Participated in the Hunter Exam.
Learned Nen.
There was no reason to stay.
Greed Island wouldn't appear until September.
Waiting months made no sense.
A new world was more appealing.
Everyone agreed.
Hayato Fūrinji stroked his beard and smiled.

"That's a good choice."
The Marines weren't rotten to the core.
Reform was still possible.
Emiya sent Hayato Fūrinji, Niikido Toshiro, and Kosaka Shigure back to their world.
Then Issho and Robin.
"Good luck," Emiya said.
"I will," Issho replied firmly.
