Chapter 148 - Chapter 30: Just a B-Rank

After sending his companions back to their respective worlds, Emiya returned to the real world.

He rested for a few days.

And spent time with his parents.

He stayed home for about a week.

During that time, Emiya didn't slack off.

He continued studying and cultivating without pause.

By the end of the week, he had fully mastered Ten and begun training Zetsu.

At this pace, he estimated he could grasp all four fundamental Nen techniques-Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu-within a month.

After that, he could start developing his own Nen ability.

One week later, Emiya said goodbye to his family and left again.

This time, he didn't go to a new world.

He returned to DanMachi.

His goal was simple.

Teach Nen to the three gods-Loki, Hestia, and Hephaestus.

With their vision, they might not even care about Nen.

Compared to divine power, Nen was clearly inferior.

But for their adventurers, Nen was extremely valuable.

With it, future expeditions would become much easier.

Of course, Emiya wasn't doing this out of goodwill alone.

He wanted the three goddesses to owe him a favor.

It was insurance.

Even though nothing had gone wrong recently, being prepared was better.

If trouble came later, he could ask for help openly.

He knew that even without this, the three goddesses would probably help him anyway.

But that was different.

In that case, they would be helping him out of goodwill.

Here, he was giving first.

A favor owed.

That mattered.

Even between friends.

Friendships couldn't survive one-sided giving.

Mutual benefit was what kept them balanced.

So Emiya was careful.

His first stop was his own Familia.

Twilight Manor.

The base of the Loki Familia.

Although Emiya was rarely around, most members recognized him.

They knew he belonged.

No one stopped him.

He found Loki in the courtyard.

As usual, she was basking in the sun.

Nearby, Ais Wallenstein practiced her sword.

Riveria Ljos Alf stood to the side.

"Yo," Loki said, surprised. "What brings you here, Emiya boy?"

The last time she'd seen him was at Hestia's restaurant.

Back then, Freya had been present.

By the time Loki went looking for Emiya later, he was already gone.

Emiya walked over and sat beside her.

"I went to a new world recently and picked up a useful supernatural ability."

Loki turned her head, smiling.

Ais stopped practicing and looked at him.

Riveria did the same.

Emiya ignored the attention.

"In some ways, it's not inferior to a Devil Fruit. More importantly, it has no drawbacks and can be taught to anyone."

Loki chuckled.

"So you're offering it to me?"

"Yes," Emiya replied calmly. "I'm part of your Familia. Of course I'd share something this good."

"That's convenient," Loki said, seeing through him immediately.

She didn't call him out.

They both understood.

"So," she said, "what is it?"

Emiya explained Nen in detail.

When he finished, he added, "Honestly, I think the people most suited to this aren't humans."

He looked at Riveria.

"Elves. Don't you agree?"

Riveria paused.

Then she nodded.

"If it's really as you say, then yes. It suits us very well."

Nen was control of life energy.

And when it came to life energy, humans couldn't compare to Elves.

Elves lived long lives.

Over a thousand years, if nothing went wrong.

Their vitality was immense.

If they learned Nen, their growth would be terrifying.

Surpassing Netero wouldn't be unrealistic.

Loki listened quietly.

Then she sighed.

"Life energy control... yeah. That's a high-end ability."

Not divine power.

But close enough.

Especially for demi-humans.

Elves.

Beastmen.

Dwarves.

All of them had stronger vitality than humans.

Ais spoke softly.

"I want to learn it."

As always.

She wanted to become stronger.

Her eyes held clear desire.

Riveria followed.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to learn as well."

Not long ago, the Loki Familia had gone on an expedition.

Ais had reached Level 6.

She'd learned new magic.

Still, they'd failed on the 59th floor.

Just like in the original flow of events.

Riveria wanted more strength.

Next time, she wanted to break through.

"Of course," Emiya said immediately.

He explained the Nen awakening method.

With their talent, a month would be enough.

As for forcefully opening their Tenketsu-

That wasn't happening.

Emiya was still a beginner himself.

He had only mastered Ten.

Zetsu was still in progress.

He hadn't even touched Hatsu properly.

There was no way he could forcibly awaken others.

Especially not an Elf and someone like Ais.

Their Tenketsu weren't even the same as a human's.

So he could only teach them the method.

The rest was up to them.

Ais immediately sat down cross-legged and began cultivating.

Riveria sighed.

"That's just how she is. I hope you don't mind."

"I don't," Emiya replied.

He understood her well enough.

Loki leaned back.

"Besides me, who else are you telling? Hestia? Hephaestus?"

"Both," Emiya said.

"I see," Loki said with a crooked smile. "Playing all sides. Greedy."

"This is between friends," Emiya replied seriously. "You're thinking too badly of me."

Loki laughed and dropped it.

At noon, Emiya treated them to lunch.

Everything came from the meal Menchi had prepared earlier.

Restored perfectly.

Everyone ate until their mouths were greasy.

Even Loki asked, "Where did you find a chef like that?"

"The world where I learned Nen," Emiya said.

He briefly described it.

Hunters.

Treasures.

Rare beasts.

Ingredients.

Loki listened with interest.

"Sounds like a world that's not inferior to One Piece."

"In some ways," Emiya agreed.

He didn't think the Hunter world was weaker.

Especially with the Dark Continent.

Unknown.

Untouched.

Dangerous.

The plot hadn't reached that point yet.

But Emiya knew one thing.

Meruem-the one who killed Netero-was a Chimera Ant.

And Chimera Ants came from the Dark Continent.

Their threat level?

B-rank.

That alone said enough.

Because above B-rank, there were A-rank.

And S-rank.

Maybe even higher.

Emiya thought of another world.

Yu Yu Hakusho.

Same author.

In that world, Toguro-the monster who crushed Yusuke during the Dark Tournament-

Was only B-rank.

Later came S-rank demons.

Yomi.

Raizen.

Mukuro.

Enki.

Hokushin.

Shura.

Each one more terrifying than the last.

So Emiya was certain.

The Dark Continent held monsters beyond imagination.

If they ever emerged, the world would shake.

Because of that-

The Hunter world was not inferior to One Piece at all.
