Time quickly reached the afternoon.
Isshō, Niikidō Tōshirō, and Hayato Furinji arrived one after another, checked into the villa, and each chose a room.
The group was reunited.
That evening, Emiya prepared a lavish dinner.
Everyone gathered in the dining room to discuss plans for the next day.
Isshō shook his head.
"No need for me. I already have my item."
He raised his hand and placed a number plate on the table.
It belonged to his target.
The red-haired woman, Suba.
A three-point number plate.
Since no one could take his own number plate from him, Isshō could simply wait until the end of the test, collect six points, and pass the fourth stage.
Emiya wasn't surprised.
Even on the first day, Isshō's Observation Haki could cover the entire island.
Suba had never stood a chance of escaping him.
"Since Isshō doesn't need to act anymore," Emiya said, "let's talk about the rest of us. Tomorrow, do we move together or separately?"
Hayato Furinji answered first.
"This is a rare training opportunity. We should act alone."
Niikidō Tōshirō nodded without hesitation.
"I agree with the elder."
Kōsaka Shigure nodded expressionlessly.
"Okay."
Emiya turned to Robin.
"What about you? Alone, or with me?"
Robin shook her head.
"I'll stay here and continue learning Armament Haki with Isshō. I'll act on the last day."
"I feel like I'm close to mastering it."
"Alright," Emiya said, not forcing her.
How everyone spent this week was their own decision.
He had no intention of interfering.
As for Emiya himself, he planned to roam the island each day.
His goal was simple.
Find Hanzo.
After dinner, everyone exchanged goodnights and returned to their rooms.
The next morning, Emiya woke early.
Everyone else was already up.
Hayato Furinji and Niikidō Tōshirō had left the seaside villa to hunt their targets.
Isshō was training Robin.
Kōsaka Shigure had just finished her morning exercise and was taking a shower.
Emiya pouted.
He went to the Danmachi world, had breakfast at the Goddess's Feast, then returned to the Hunter world and left the villa alone.
Eyes Island wasn't large.
An ordinary person could walk around it in a few days.
Hunter Exam participants could do it in about one.
So aside from resting at night, examinees spent the day wandering the island, searching for prey.
Emiya released his Observation Haki and moved across the island.
He didn't find Hanzo.
But he did encounter several unrelated examinees.
He ignored them.
Hanzo was his only target.
Emiya had no interest in attacking anyone else.
Unfortunately, sometimes you don't go looking for trouble.
Trouble comes looking for you.
While Emiya ignored them, someone quietly approached him from behind.
An ambush.
But with his Observation Haki active, every movement was obvious.
The attacker was Suba.
The red-haired woman whose number plate Isshō had taken.
So that was it.
Because Isshō robbed her, she planned to take Emiya's number plate in revenge.
After all, Isshō and Emiya were known to be together.
The idea itself wasn't bad.
Her strength was the problem.
Even if Emiya wasn't as strong as Isshō, Suba was still far from being his match.
Before she could strike, Emiya's telekinetic hand shot out.
It slammed into the back of her head.
Her vision went black.
She collapsed instantly.
Emiya didn't even look back.
He continued forward, still searching for Hanzo.
Morning passed like that.
Hanzo still hadn't appeared.
Which only proved one thing.
Hanzo was good at hiding.
A true ninja.
But Eyes Island was limited in size.
And Emiya's Observation Haki and speed weren't slow.
No matter how well Hanzo hid, it wouldn't last forever.
Toward evening, Emiya finally found him.
At the edge of a cliff.
Hanzo was alone, starting a fire to cook.
Emiya didn't bother hiding.
He walked over openly.
Hanzo immediately stood up, staring at him with a guarded expression.
He couldn't figure out Emiya's intentions.
"Hand over your number plate," Emiya said.
Hanzo understood immediately.
"So you're targeting me."
"Yes," Emiya replied calmly.
"That won't work," Hanzo said without hesitation.
"I won't give my number plate to a stranger."
Emiya smiled.
"That's not up to you."
Hanzo grew more cautious.
Since the other side dared to speak so confidently, did he have companions hiding nearby?
Was he surrounded?
Hanzo scanned his surroundings, listening carefully.
Emiya saw through his thoughts and laughed.
"Relax. I'm alone."
Hanzo snorted.
He didn't believe a word.
Enemies couldn't be trusted.
"Then go to sleep."
As Emiya spoke, his telekinetic hand appeared behind Hanzo.
It struck the back of his head.
Bang.
Hanzo's body went limp.
As he lost consciousness, one thought flashed through his mind.
"There was clearly no one behind me..."
Emiya looked at the unconscious Hanzo with satisfaction.
Telekinesis was truly useful.
Too practical.
He flipped Hanzo over, waved his hand lightly, and the number plate on Hanzo's chest flew into his palm.
Emiya smiled and left.
Back at the villa, everyone except Kōsaka Shigure had already returned.
"How was today?" Emiya asked as he dropped onto the sofa.
Niikidō Tōshirō smiled proudly and placed a number plate on the table.
Number 95.
Hayato Furinji followed, placing down number 109.
Emiya added his own.
"Looks like everyone got what they wanted," he said. "Only Shigure and Robin are missing theirs."
"Don't include me," Robin said. "I'll act on the last day."
"You might not get your target by then," Emiya replied.
"Then I'll just take three random ones," Robin said calmly.
At that moment, Kōsaka Shigure returned.
Niikidō Tōshirō smiled.
"Yo, Shigure. Any luck today?"
Shigure walked over and silently tossed a number plate onto the table.
It wasn't Gon's.
It was someone else's.
"Whose is this?" Emiya asked.
"Mine," Shigure said. "Enemy."
Niikidō Tōshirō understood immediately.
"So someone took your number, tried to hunt you, and you beat them and took theirs."
Shigure nodded.
"And your prey?"
"Didn't find."
Niikidō Tōshirō paused.
"Your target's pretty slippery. Want me to go with you tomorrow?"
Shigure shook her head and pointed at herself.
"No problem."
Seeing her insistence, Niikidō Tōshirō didn't push.
Even if she failed to find her prey, grabbing three number plates wouldn't be hard.
There was no rush.
But unexpectedly, on the third and fourth days, Shigure still returned empty-handed.
Even Emiya was surprised.
Was Gon really that capable?
He shouldn't be.
At this point, Gon hadn't learned Nen.
Even with his special physique, he shouldn't match Shigure.
Was he hiding somewhere?
Time passed.
The fifth day arrived.
Night.
After everyone fell asleep, faint footsteps approached the villa.
Isshō opened his eyes first.
With Observation Haki, he detected three sneaking figures.
He didn't warn anyone.
Because he could sense his companions waking up one by one.
Emiya opened his eyes.
He activated his Observation Haki.
The three figures became clear.
Kurapika.
Hisoka.
And... Leorio.
Emiya was briefly surprised.
Then he realized.
They weren't together.
Hisoka approached from the north.
Kurapika and Leorio came from the west.
Two groups.
Acting on the same night.
Kurapika's presence made sense.
Emiya was his target.
But Hisoka?
Was someone in the villa his prey?
Even if that were true, how did Hisoka dare approach?
He knew how strong this group was.
Did he think acting at night would be enough?
That would be naive.
And Hisoka wasn't naive.
Emiya narrowed his eyes.
Something was off.
