Emiya and Shizuka Hiratsuka landed on the island.
Shizuka Hiratsuka pointed toward the one o'clock direction.
"I saw a small village over there. Should we go check it out?"
Emiya nodded.
The two headed that way.
After walking for about twenty minutes, a port village came into view.
The village looked primitive.
Most of the houses were wooden, and the roads were nothing more than dirt paths that would turn muddy whenever it rained.
The most eye-catching structure was a tall windmill.
Even though it was close to the sea, the entire place felt completely undeveloped.
Walking along the dirt road, Shizuka Hiratsuka couldn't help commenting.
"This place is really backward."
"It's not backward," Emiya said calmly. "It's just how this era is."
"It looks like a Western-style village from around the fifteenth or sixteenth century."
Shizuka Hiratsuka's eyes lit up.
"So you're saying this might really be another world?"
Emiya nodded.
"I'm not certain, but it's possible."
"There's someone over there. Let's ask."
He spotted a man carrying a hoe along the road and walked over with Shizuka Hiratsuka.
"Excuse me," Emiya said politely. "May I ask where this place is?"
The man sized them up.
"You two must be outsiders. This is Windmill Village."
"Huh?" Shizuka Hiratsuka panicked a little. "What is he saying? I can't understand him at all."
The man continued speaking in a language she couldn't comprehend.
What were they supposed to do?
Only then did Emiya realize he hadn't shared Language Comprehension with her yet.
He patted her lightly on the back.
"All right. You should be able to understand now."
Shizuka Hiratsuka looked at him suspiciously.
Emiya turned back to the man.
"Sir, where exactly is Windmill Village? It seems we've gotten lost."
The man found the two a bit strange, but didn't think too deeply about it.
"Windmill Village is on the outskirts of the Goa Kingdom."
"Don't tell me you two don't even know about the Goa Kingdom?"
Shizuka Hiratsuka froze.
She understood him.
Just moments ago, she hadn't been able to understand a single word.
Now she could.
She turned to look at Emiya.
"The Goa Kingdom..." Emiya said, suddenly understanding. "So this is where we are."
No wonder the name Windmill Village sounded familiar.
Once it was connected to the Goa Kingdom, everything clicked.
"Thank you," Emiya said. "Please accept this as a token of my gratitude."
He casually created a gold ring and handed it over.
"No, no," the man waved his hands hurriedly. "I only answered a few questions. That's far too much."
"It's fine," Emiya said calmly. "I have plenty of these."
"And you really did help me a lot. Please, take it."
In the end, he placed the ring directly into the man's hand.
After the man left, Shizuka Hiratsuka immediately asked, "What did you just do?"
"How could I suddenly understand what he was saying?"
"Was that also a superpower?"
"Yes," Emiya replied. "Language Comprehension."
"With it, you can communicate in any world you go to."
"I see." She nodded. "You said you know where this place is now?"
Emiya nodded again.
She frowned slightly.
"Didn't you say this was your first time coming to this world?"
"So how do you suddenly know where we are? Is that another ability?"
"No," Emiya said. "That's not it."
"It's just that this place is famous."
"Famous?"
"Yes," Emiya replied. "The Goa Kingdom. Windmill Village."
"Doesn't that sound familiar?"
He knew that One Piece existed as a manga in her original world.
"The Goa Kingdom... Windmill Village..."
Shizuka Hiratsuka thought for a moment.
"Now that you mention it, it does sound familiar. I feel like I've seen it somewhere."
"This place is in the East Blue," Emiya added.
"The East Blue. The Goa Kingdom. Windmill Village..."
Her eyes widened.
"Wait. Wait, wait, wait."
"You don't mean... this is the One Piece world, do you?"
"Without a doubt," Emiya said, nodding.
"You're joking!" Shizuka Hiratsuka exclaimed. "One Piece is just a comic!"
"I don't know the exact reason," Emiya said calmly, "but this should be the One Piece world."
"If you don't believe me, we can confirm it."
Shizuka Hiratsuka followed him.
"How?"
"It's simple," Emiya replied. "Windmill Village is the hometown of the male protagonist."
"Luffy."
"If we find out whether there's someone named Luffy here, we'll know."
After hearing that, Shizuka Hiratsuka nodded.
In truth, she also wanted confirmation.
"Then let's ask someone," she suggested.
"No need," Emiya said. "Just follow me."
He had already found his target.
A bar.
Windmill Village wasn't large, and a bar stood out immediately.
Emiya pushed the door open and walked in with Shizuka Hiratsuka.
The interior was simple.
A few tables and chairs.
A wooden counter.
Behind it stood a beautiful woman with a well-proportioned figure.
She was wiping a glass.
She wore a striped shirt and a bandana, with short, dark green hair.
She looked very familiar.
"Welcome."
She set the glass down and smiled gently at them.
Emiya glanced at Shizuka Hiratsuka.
"Does she look familiar to you?"
Shizuka Hiratsuka already knew the answer.
This was Makino.
The woman who had taken care of Luffy since he was a child.
Which meant-
This really was the One Piece world.
It felt unreal.
Makino noticed their conversation and tilted her head slightly.
"Um... do you two know me?"
Shizuka Hiratsuka scratched her head.
"We're here to see Luffy."
"Luffy?" Makino asked. "Are you friends of Luffy's?"
Shizuka Hiratsuka let out a quiet sigh.
She didn't deny it.
So this really was the One Piece world.
