Ethan's daily routine had been completely messed up for the past four days.
It started simple enough, or at least as simple as anything could be after making the kind of drunken mistake that resulted in waking up naked in a hotel room with a stranger.
That had been almost two weeks ago now, and Ethan had been doing his best to forget about it, to push that entire night into a box in the back of his mind where he wouldn't have to think about it.
But then four days ago, the man appeared.
Ethan had gone to the café near Apex Holdings that morning, the one he always stopped at before work to grab his usual coffee order, he'd been standing at the counter waiting for his drink when he'd felt it, that prickling sensation on the back of his neck that told him someone was watching.
He'd turned around and there he was.
